No, it's only the beneficiary's civil documents.

You can send it in together with the I864 or separately--doesn't matter as long as the barcodes are on top of the respective packages.

Indian beneficiaries, I have a question:

Have all of you had your spouse's name added to the last page of the passport? Y'know the one with your parent's name, address etc?

Actually I just had my wife get a new passport with her married name and my name in the spouse section. it actually worked out decently, as she only had to get the passport office PCC for the NVC stage (since the passport was issued within the last 6 months as of april 23rd). and yes, we got the 2nd PCC from the local police stattion just last week (when I was visiting her in bangalore - had to bribe 1000 rs, but it got the trick done - apparently the rate of PCCs are 200 bucks or so)...

btw, sachin and other indian beneficiaries - find out if you need to get EMIGRATION clearance. this is apparently only req'd for folks going to work in the Gulf countries, but make sure. I asked the immigration officer at the airport himself and he assured me that you only need emigration clearance for working in gulf countries. also, MAKE SURE YOUR TAXES ARE FILEd! apparently this is one thing that the indian immigration authorities nail you on when you're flying out on a permanent basis. file your taxes and if a refund is due, tell them that you'll get the refund later and that it will be deposited into your account after they are finished with it. if possible, take a copy of the form 16 with you.

I'm sitting in Dubai airport waiting for my flight back to NYC (5 hr layover!)...feeling really sad having left my sweet wife...but at least i got to see her, unlike a lot of other folks here who've gone a year plus! being away from your loved one sucks truly...my wife's interview will be in early june hopefully, since we barely missed the cutoff for may interviews (CC on april 14th; chennai rec'd our docs on april 23rd according to dhl) and should be 1st in line for june interviews...it would just be nice if chennai scheduled interviews on a rolling basis ratehr than wait till the 2nd week of the month. good thing april only has 30 days!

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale - My beautiful wife Soni

Hello everyone, Im trying to get my packet together to mail to NVC, and i have a question.

When i write my account number on each page, is it the CSB number not the receipt number? And when i write the account number on each page, do i have to also write it on the certified documents, such as the Police certificate, the translation of the police certificate and my marriage certificate. I dont really want to write on these as they are originals and i dont want to alter them, is it okay if i dont write the account number on them? Also, do i use black ink to write the account number?

Thanks so much in advance everyone for all your help, just trying to get the packet ready for when my husbands documents from Morocco come in the mail and i can mail to nvc overnight with signature requested and a return receipt, im sure you all did this also? Now i just have to check the cover sheet to see if the address i mail to nvc is on there?

Thanks again, sweetcitywife

I used a pen but with the originals I wrote the number on a post-it note instead of actually writing on the documents themselves and I included the CSB at the beginning.

Ahhhh. april is almost over. it hardly seems like i have been doing NVC stuff for almost 2 months now. WOW!

Anyway, I am preparing my proof and evidence for the interview now. Tokyo hopefully isn't as daunting as some other countries. here is what i got so far:

-3 years of photos together

-Cards, letters, gifts, etc

-Money Transfer Statement

-Japanese bank card

-Phone Bills

-Japan Visa

-Relationship Details

hope this ends up being enough!! fingers crossed! :D

Looks good. Maybe a statement from people who know you regarding your relationship. It's not necessary, but it's not hard to get, either.

Yep. Use the CSB number. You won't need your receipt number anymore.

I wrote our case number on every single page that has been or will be sent in, including all of the evidence for the interview. I'd rather a sore hand than chance an important piece of paper get lost.

And, yes, the address is on the barcode sheet.

Good luck!

is the CSB number the same as the NVC number?

I wrote my NVC number in pen at the top of every document EXCEPT original birth and marriage certs. on those i used removable labels. same with the PCC. removable label with NVC number.

takes a while and you will memorize the number once you are done hahah,

Good morning everyone.

Wanted to check in.... After that dreaded RFE, I just stayed away from here all weekend. I am really upset with myself over this!

I pray I sent exactly what they wanted... still no email about it.

The first operator told me just a birth cert... everything else there. The second told me the sharia marriage cert... everything else ok. And finally the third told me all that was needed was the original sharia marriage cert... and when it arrived we would be case complete.

Hoping that using that barcode for the false RFE (for the 230 packet that was already there) will get the papers to the right place.

In my cover letter I listed the operator's name and time and date of my call, as well as what I had sent.

And I have seen a lot of posting about the foriegn spouse's place of residence... on my husband's, he has been in the same place since age 6. So we had it listed as 12/1989 to present and I am assuming it was accepted that way (since all 3 operators agreed I only needed one document to finish).

I hope that was ok, I really can't handle another delay!

Thanks to everyone for your help and support!
