I second this!!

mine the operator told me that was a paper and I told her but I dont have that paper and she said well you have problems.,.and when the email arrived it says what to do in case I dont posses any longer the paper that they were asking...really easy

I third it - did you see our RFE list? If I went with what the first lady said, I would have sent another copy (that didn't look like a photocopy even though it was an original) of the same document, but that's not what NVC wanted!

Just wrote to my Senator (Inouye) again. It worked for the I-130 - after I wrote to them the Senator's office called me the next day and the I-130 was approved 2 days later. Let's hope they can work some NVC magic!!!

My AOS finally was entered into the system yesterday. I really wonder if calling does make a difference?? Anyway, the AVR was actually updated this morning. NVC is a funny thing!

I think it's going to be that same stupid question involving where you lived since the age of 16.

Guess all I can do is wait now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but DS-230 corrections don't need an original signature? Just trying to remember.

Yes, the DS230 requires an original signature.

Do you mean original, or corrections? I know the original does, but I don't know about follow ups.

(I'm assuming you have to resubmit another DS-230 sheet when making corrections).

Unfortunately I can't call the lovely and personable people at the NVC cause it's Saturday.

It's odd, but my case either updated really late last night, or early this morning.

Most likely this morning. I called late last night and it still hadn't changed but this morning my AVR was updated.

If you haven't done so already, call them and give them your e-mail addresses. This way they'll send you updates through e-mail (at least that's the way it worked for me).

I think you have to wait for confirmation of Agent of selection before anything else happens.

After that, they'll send you an e-mail telling you to pay for the DS-230 and IV Bill.

Once your Choice of Agent is accepted -- usually in 1-3 days -- your $400 IV bill will become available to be paid.

Pay it and wait for it to show as PAID.

Print out the barcoded cover sheet and send in your DS230 packet!

If the mistake is on the DS230, you will need to send in a new one with an original signature and the RFE fixed on it.

This is why it is recommended that the beneficiary sends a few blank SIGNED DS230s to the petitioner in case there are any last minute changes that need to be made or if you get hit by the dreaded RFE.

You have to resubmit (usually) DS230 PART 1 (which requires beneficiary signature).

Read the LingChe shortcuts! You do NOT have to wait for any information from NVC unless you want to be stuck for an extra month or two.
