Agreed that not quitting is the best option. The embassies always say "Don't quit your job, sell your home, buy tickets, or make any plans until you have the visa in hand." blah blah blah. But it's your life; you know what you want. Hehehe.

As for changing the DS-230, it's fine. The NVC doesn't actually approve any documents. They gather forms, organize them their way, and check for completeness. When you get your CC, it's literally your casefile is complete and can be forwarded to the embassy to make the visa decision. The CO is the one who has the ultimate say.

If you need to update your employment information, just print a new one. Don't keep the old one; it would be a lie. I don't know about telling them you quit right out. I'd explain "I no longer work at XYZ Company, so I have an updated DS-230 for you." If they ask why I no longer work for XYZ, then I'd be honest that I quit. Just me. You may want to do things differently.

So... no problems. CO has the final say regarding your documents; NVC is more of a document processing service. It won't take 2 weeks to process a form. Be honest at the interview. Good luck!

No, AOS fee will only need to be paid once. Ring the NVC and speak to an operator who will make sure the two cases are linked. When you pay the AOS fee for the mother online, it will also say that the related case has been paid. You will still need to print the two separate coversheets and the two separate receipts for each case.

You will have to pay the IV fee for both, though.

I am the sole sponsor for the affidavit of support for my husband. We have finished with NVC, and are waiting on the interview date now, in Montreal. I am considering sharing a house with another couple. I don't think that will affect the af. of support, but I want to double check. Anyone know?

Yep that's it. Listen to the options carefully, it will step you through it. You can either choose to speak with an operator or you can go through to the recorded message which usually has messages like 'the NVC received your checklist response on (date). Please allow blah blah blah'.

No it won't affect it. the NVC accepted it the way you submitted it. It doesnt matter that you have other people living with you now. You are not supporting them (they are not your dependents) so no worries.
