Good morning. I had my SIF/LIF on 04/14, just waiting on the interview, which will probably be June (wishful thinking) or July.

Grats to those who received interview dates, or got the stuff for their RFE's.

I got the RFE for a certificate on April 15. I did not wait for the checklist response letter and send it in to the regular rochester, nh address where I mailed the ds-230 to. It will get there on Monday. I should have sent it to the Suite 100 address in the letter. Is that an issue? Please advise. I am going crazy dealing with this NVC BS.

How long does it usually take for the AVR to update to case complete? My sons case was SIF a week ago but AVR still says same thing, we received your checklist on april 2th please allow 6-8 weeks for processing etc.

Sweet. Sounds like a good deal. Ticket prices should be cheaper because of the volcano ash

As for us, they received our last documents on April 16 or that is what the AVR updated too anyway. Goodluck to all

What does the AVR Response "The NVC recieved your documents on Apil 16,2010, please allow 6-8 weeks from this date for the NVC to review this documentation and notify of you of the outcome of the review." I assume that means they have recieved the I-864 and DS-230? I hope it does, since EP has been all weird and stuff.(Those doing EP know what I mean lol) Also another reason I ask, is because I got an e-mail about the next steps, and it was to e-mail them my DS-230, But I had e-mailed that in already and what not. Lol I cant wait to be done with them!!

(I know there was an AVR response thread going on somewhere here in the forums, but I coudlnt find it.)

Back from a great weekend trip in Tuscany (w/hubby)!! Tomorrow's RFE to do list:

1. More black ink for printer

2. Create a nice "supplementary" letter to NVC, explaining why husband generously rounded dates on places he lived and didn't put any places before age 23...b/c he ran out of space.

3. Get letter from Italian consulate in Tripoli saying that birth records in Libya cannot be obtained and resend the birth certificate from Italian gov't.

4. Find husband old passport to prove he did not live in Maldives more than 10 months

5. Get a letter from Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Maldives saying that they don't have a record of husband ever living there b/c he was registered as an Italian resident and therefore any criminal activity would show on the PCC that the NVC already has.

Did I mention that I'm already legal/registered in the Italian system (and it only took 3 weeks)?

Hi guys.

Sorry for being so quiet for a while but alot of stuff has been going on.

I now have some questions about it...

My mom just passed away and I'm trying to figure out what I need to do/update.

So far I got,

- Need a new BC which shows my mom as deceased.

- A new/updated DS-230 showing the same.

Is there anything else I need to update or get or do?

I really appreciate your help friends,it's hard to focus on all the details of immigration right now.
