heeey i guess im here too! Just paid the AOS Bill yesterday and recieved the email from NVC yesterday that they recieved the DS-3032.

I have all my documents ready now hubby (petitioner) needs to get his butt in gear and his prioritys sorted and do the I-864 to send off ..either way i will probably be here till may. Wont be able to pay the IV bill untill the end of the month. Fingers crossed all goes well!

P.s I realised on my I-130 i had put fathers birth place as Brough, On my birth certificate it says, elloughton!

Brough is the main place and elloughton is a part of it, i didnt realise it said that on my BC till i made a photocopy.

Do you think its ok that i printed off a picture of google map where it shows that they are the same place and before it i added a page explaining it?

It's a real one - the operator said the birth certificate looks like a photo copy - I responded saying that it is an original (which it is) along with a photo copy - and if we go get another it will look the same. She has to get a supervisor to review (10-15 days) before a decision is made. Further, my husband has to get a police certificate from the Maldives -- any advice on where to get this?

It's official, I hate NVC.

Here's what I put in the STUPID RFE THREAD:

My (husband's) stupid RFEs:

1. Question DS230 Question 30, Most recent address he wrote "present" MUST INCLUDE START DATE-PRESENT

2. Birth Certificate original is considered a civil copy since we obtained it from Italy. (Husband born to Italian parents in Libya).

3. Police certificate missing from Maldives (though he listed other countries for over 6 mo.) We only included Italy b/c this is the only country since 16 of which he has been resident.

What I learned:

1. Don't let your husband fill out paperwork.

2. Get the copy from the country of birth only (... and international backgrounds while attractive can make this process take too long).

3. The US is more concerned about certain countries.

Thanks! also just called NVC and confirmed my CC as of last night! i asked them if there was any way they could schedule me in for may and the operator said that they were scheduling interviews for may this week and the next (i think she said next). she said to call back tomorrow or monday - so perhaps there's a miniscule chance that we can make it - surely will hope and pray so!
