Today the wonderful Kat told me "That's not my department" in addition to the scripted "You can try calling back later this week or Monday" #######. Grrr! Do they not realize that "No, you don't have an interview scheduled yet" is heartbreaking enough as is?! There's no need to add any salt.

Let's see! Why don't you give them a call today WEDNESDAY! for your own peace of mind!

Thanks everyone... I just had to step out to call 911 again... the fire had started back up with a vengenace... here is me with my tiny little water hose with no nozzle... just the water comming out of the hose... and then 3 fire trucks pull back up and they jump out with the enormous hose and blast the fire back into the woods.... I was like dont mind me I was just watering my lawn... lol...

Is it a bad thing when the 911 operator can discribe your house and asks how the kids are doing??? I might invite her over for some tea...

Alright - here's the deal:

It's for the divorce decree from Ian's first marriage.

Now, I had been telling Ian since December - 3 1/2 months before we even GOT to NVC, that we needed a CERTIFIED COPY of his divorce decree...well, apparently, he thought that I was just making SH*T up...I told him and told him and told him...but, then again, perhaps he thought I was speaking to the WALL.

So, a couple of weeks ago, he sends me this THING - it's his divorce decree - or what really looks like a copy of one, but he swears up, down and sideways that this is the EXACT thing that the authorities in Britain gave him when he called to order his divorce decree...

So, I sent it in, with a small note, explaining that, yes, it LOOKS like a copy, but it's not.

But still, they didn't like it, so the RFE'd it.

Now I'm mad at both NVC AND my husband.

Somehow I managed to pull off my part...he's not doing so well with his.

Well they have'nt gotten around to my country i guess.So scared to call to hear "No interview

date set".

I say maybe tomorrow. As nerve wrecking as it is, you should call!

Oh my gosh I have 10 pages here to catch up on! It must have been a busy day at the NVC!! I hope it's good news. I just wanted to post that I sent off the IV packet today and AOS is going out at the end of the week. Now, off to catch up on everyone's news...

Viv, no they havent, I guess this will make him a serial arsonist... this person has managed to burn down 3 houses and a cow pasture not to mention the numerous yards that have been set on fire... I really wish they would hurry up and catch him, I think it has to be the same guy that broke into everyones house on my street <except ours.. I think they are afraid of our 3 Great Dane dogs >

I dont expect to get a may interview..My consulate is really busy I have made my plans for June or July so either way is fine..I will be here waiting for all your reviews..and hopefully many of you are still around here at the time of my interview..

Well, I held my tongue with hubby, since there's really no going into the past and making him get a copy of his divorce decree that looks real...there's nothing that can be done now, except to just get NVC what they want.

One fortunate thing is that his mum works for the courts, and thinks she can get a copy faster than if he just ordered it by phone. She's going to find out if they can stamp it with a color other than black, because the one we sent in looks exactly like it's been photo copied.

The thing is, I sent in a copy of the divorce decree with the original package, received the one from hubby via mail which I sent in with the passport photos that I forgot to send in, hoping & praying that it would work. I'm still holding out the slightest bit of hope that they'll see the one that came with the passport photos and go ahead...not much hope, but a tiny bit.

Hubby thinks it'll be a couple of days before he gets a new copy, and he'll overnight it to NVC from England.

I'm much calmer now - took a few hours break from VJ, cause I just wasn't fit company.

Want to tell everyone congratulations on all of the interview dates - I am so looking forward to next month when we can do the CC dance!!

i just logged on to the AVR system and it seems they are waiting for the biographic forms from the petitioner. that has me stumped. the only biographic form i sent was with the USCIS.. i didn't realize anything like that was needed for the AOS. and it's too late to call and talk to an operator. anybody with a similar experience? this is gonna keep me up all night...

btw, congrats to those with interviews!!!

What do you think? I paid AOS and sent AOS package too 4/9/10, DS3032 accepted on 4/8/10, my IV fee bill says not paid. I have not received IV Fee bill email? Not sure if IV Fee bill generated? Should i wait for an email or just pay IV Bill?

Please advise.
