I think once they set the interview, they send out the package. Operator last night told me that we missed the cutoff for April interviews (which I knew...) but that I should call Friday to see if anything has been scheduled. Nice lady I talked to... funny how when there is good news, you get someone with warm blood on the other end, but when its bad news, or your desperate for answers, you get the girl from the Exorcist on the line. Why is life so cruel???

that was the operator told my husband... My hubby dont want to keep calling NVC. He said that We have to wait until 2nd week of april..omg.. I want an quick answer and it should be the case has been forwarded to the embassy....lol :wow:

I just got off the phone with the embassy again, the lady in the Visa section knows me by name. "Oh, you're the guy who called yesterday..." Well, actually it was tuesday, but who's counting? At least she's nice.

So your package is still in NVC?

I would say yes. The lady at the Embassy told me that the NVC E-mails a scan of the entire package when they send it and they haven't even gotten that yet. Our interview date was assigned a week ago.

Hi all... I am still here, did not post for some time.

UPDATE from me - "The Last Document Standing".... PCC from regional passport office.

Put a inquiry for this... the general verification not received by the passport office from local police head quarters.

(this is the one that will be initiated when you ask for PCC from passport office and submit your passport).

Still praying.... We have twisted some arms there (a call by IGP to RPO head).

I hope to give you update soon...

PLEASE PRAY FOR ME. :star:

I called NVC and listen to the AVR out of curiosity. To my surprise, the AVR is still "Your case is completed on ..." I was hoping to hear "...NVC has completed the case and forwarded it to the Embassy or Consulate in..." I guess our case is still at NVC:( No wonder i dont see our case # on the latest interview list posted on the embassy website.

Here's the part we've all been waiting for. Your sign in fails! What happens AFTER you get a SIGN IN FAILED?

Check the AVR/confirm with an operator that your case has indeed completed processing at NVC.

CR-1 interviews are scheduled by NVC. The interview letter will be e-mailed to both the beneficiary and the petitioner.

You can track the DHL packages sent out from Portsmouth, NH to your consulate.

Keep bugging NVC till they assign your date. Not too much, though.

You can check the US Consulate's website for updates on interviews. Most consulate's have an interview schedule updated bi-weekly.

You can also call your consulate for regular updates on how busy the consulate is that month.

Get your medical out of the way. The medical is country specific, so check out your regional forums.

Usually, you need 2-3 photographs, passport, interview letter, and your medical records but I'm sure requirements differ.

I try to find out for Delhi embassy... unable to find that link... Can you help? (I am way early in this, but this is for my information) :bonk:

There are two packets that are sent to the consulate--

One is your e-file, that is sent, well, electronically.

And the other is your papers, stuff which have original signatures and original documents. The documents will be returned to you at the time of the interview.

Folks, at this point, NO ONE, unless Matt is able to move his up, is going to get an April interview. That ship has long sailed. Focus your sights on May instead. You need to have a CC by April 9 to make the next round of scheduling that begins from Monday, 12th April.

Good luck and Happy April Fool's Day to all!
