Just called AVR and Case Complete on March 31st. "Please allow 8 weeks blah blah blah"

I think there is no way around with NVC, even when we are DONE with them, we still hear that creepy allow bla bla bla.

It's soooo gooooood to start the month DONE with them! Can't wait to receive the interview email!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im kinda pissed because my case is alreasy completed at NVC but they havent forward it to embassy. does it takes a week for them to send it out?

I read about the auto-response in other threads. When we emailed choice of agent, we received response the next day.

This was the email message we received:

"Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa

Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated

agent on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions

before the instruction packet will be sent.

this is exactly what i got too. means they've accepted it. they updated it in the avr the next day. but you can now proceed to the sign in page and pay the iv bill, as that invoice now will have been generated and pay the bill. will take about 3/4th of a day to process the payment and then you can print out the barcode sheet and send off your ds-230 package. it all goes fast from this point, so have your package ready to go out the door once you print that barcode sheet!

I think once they set the interview, they send out the package. Operator last night told me that we missed the cutoff for April interviews (which I knew...) but that I should call Friday to see if anything has been scheduled. Nice lady I talked to... funny how when there is good news, you get someone with warm blood on the other end, but when its bad news, or your desperate for answers, you get the girl from the Exorcist on the line. Why is life so cruel???

I just got off the phone with the embassy again, the lady in the Visa section knows me by name. "Oh, you're the guy who called yesterday..." Well, actually it was tuesday, but who's counting? At least she's nice.
