hi guys! beautiful day in New Jersey but also very boring. What to do to make this weekend fly.

It's Thai New Year weekend! This weekend and next weekend, depending on the temple. So pull out your yellow pages. Look under "church" or "temple" and find Buddhist - Theravada. Tada! Call and see if they're having a New Year ceremony. If they are, there's likely to be lots of food and good times. Just an idea...

Anyone in Texas, you're welcome to take a trip to Schertz (San Antonio area) and head out to the local temple. Food. Music. Thai dancing showcase. Water fight. And blessings for the New Year. :star:

We got the checklist yesterday and being Saturday over here I didn't bother reading it. If I had I could have called but now I have to wait until my Tuesday!! I will be calling though. I know our PCC's are numbered so I might call the AFP tomorrow and check to see if I can have another sent out (just in case).

Wha?! Maybe NVC has been seeing a lot of missing PCCs and it's a blanket request? I hope it's a fluke. I know we had a fun time getting an Australian PCC with Husby living in Thailand and me living in the States. And they're expensive! I can't imagine having to ask for another one. :(

I'm a little confused. I got my SIF, and the operator I spoke to confirmed my case was complete on the 8th, but today I got a checklist email requesting a police certificate, which was included with the original packet. Is this something I should just ignore considering the case is already complete?

They probably want the police certificate presented during the interview. That's what they want in my case. Because a lot of police certificates are only valid for a few months.

WOW!! DHL list for today is awesome. Including a package to Chennai, Santo Domingo, and Tokyo.

Holy cow! It goes onto page two!!!

There's Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Caracas, New Delhi, Rio, Sydney, Vancouver, and Kingston!!! Tirana, too.

So... who's with me?! Calls tonight!!

How do I check the DHL list? I have tried searching by reference for "EXP 07 APR 2010", as well as "expedite IV section" but cannot seem to find the lists.

Thanks!

TheBears, that is the same problem I'm running into. Getting this PCC has been a nightmare! Any tips?

Deb--What was your RFE for? Bank statements and PCC?

Hey Sachi

It's for the following:-

Bank Statements

Petitioner's signature must be original

Signature must be in blue or black ink

Biographical information does not match principal immigrant

And my PCC is also listed.

So on page 3 of the checklist letter it has Financial Evidence etc then it has Australia Police Cert NSW/Queensland

On final page it has the checklist for I-864 with what we need to provide. It doesn't have checklist for DS-230 so maybe I should ignore the request for the PCC. It's odd. We knew about the other stuff, it's the PCC that has me scratching my head.

Probably should get in touch with a supervisor on Monday.

The rest of the stuff sounds easy enough to fix.

This is a classic FALSE RFE. But - call in anyway, just to be certain.

There is never any 'linkup' with that checklist - it gripes my @ss, similar to piles.

hello folks

beatiful day..

today is FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid Clasic Game

GOOOO BARCAAAA

Barcelona is a pansy team - even you know it ;)

In Other NVC-related topic -

yikes - still that slowdown that came in March - has bled over into April. Grrrr. I have to think it's taking MORE time to do stuff on the data entry clerks' desks - due to new software that is SLOWER with even a SLOWER connection to the back end databases. Grrrr.

Hmm, no, we didn't register. Would we have had to register it in the country at the consulate? The country was Bangladesh so would I, the USC, have had to register it at the US Embassy there in Bangladesh or could I possibly do it at the Bangladesh consulate here (in the US?) All I can say is, I wish I knew THEN what I know NOW!

I'm so happy for everyone moving through the process! I am still waiting on some police reports. I swear if I knew about this site before I left the country I married in, I would have been DONE with the process by now. Enjoy your weekends!

I strongly suggest you go to a Bangladesh Embassy/Consulate, and try to get a certified copy of that marriage certificate. Before that , though - call on Monday (I've no idea if they will even do it). If they will do it - suggest you get 3 original sets of 'certified copy', regardless of the price.

Good Luck !

Good morning and happy Sunday Visa Journerererers....(?)

I have a sneaking suspicion our good friend Julissa is snoring somewhere... the early am tequilla FB pic would suggest she was celebrating.. BARCA

currently, for those premier league fanaticals - Liverpool against Fulham - 0-0 first half. My GD soccer channel not working - gonna call Directv and cuss em out later. My husband loves Liverpool. Im a ManU fan.. bloody battles between him and I.

I still find it hard to believe its April 11 and STILL NO INTERVIEW DATE. I feel a lil  about it - but maybe this week will be good news for us.

Yesterday was a long boring day- only thing.. and yes.. the ONLY THING that made me smile, was talking to my son in the am and the gorgeous pics of baby Gisele that Tat shared on the FB.

Hey Alicia, good morning sweetie!

I'm very excited about this upcoming week! I hope we get our interview's email before the 16th. Otherwise I'll be going insane!

Anyway!!! Wish you all a great Sunday and let's wait for what Monday is bringing to all of us!!!

  the power of the NVC to consume our lives because those are some fun hobbies you have there. Mine are playing tennis and traveling. Travel is limited because of $$$$ and I have to blame the NVC for my lack of playing tennis.

Amen to that! I'm into music (guitar) and traveling, movies, going out and everything else. My wife loves to do all kinds of things too. We've been totally just consumed by this and are just existing till we get SIFs and our interview dates. what this makes you do is to stop living and just exist until you're rejoined and whole again. its a horrible process that can only hope to make us all stronger as people and in relationships. Best of luck to us all and I think the coming week will be our week - t is the New Year's time in the south Indian calender next week and will usher in good tidings for us all!

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale - My beautiful wife Soni
