In all seriousness, stick to purified water in India. Get brandname bottled water and then purify it yourself using a water filtration system you can get from someplace like Eastern Mountain Sports.

What about the tea and coffee? Since it's made with milk is it any better?

Tea/Coffee are fine without milk. The water is boiled so that's good to go. Just make sure it gets served to you while hot :)

Was the milk pasteurized or was it from your neighborhood doodhwala? Raw milk is dangerous in India. You can get lots of bacterial infections.

I don't know...Debbie Downer!!! J/K

It was in the guest house we stayed in, they'd bring it to our room in the morning...

I worked in India for years I never got sick, used bottle water and also they have those water truck like here where they refill your 5gallon container. In south india Chennai, the water is a little bit heavy but never got sick from shower or brushing in the morning.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Columbus missed India too. :)

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

This reminds me of trying to drink in Mexico. Couldn't have anything with milk in it b/c it's unpasteurized. I did, however, trust the bottled sodas (even though they re-use Pepsi bottles-takes some getting used to) and the bottled waters. I also actually would use ice in a lot of drinks but first made sure that it was made using purified water (made Javier ask all the time, much to his distaste). I guess that's just the risk you take when visiting a foreign country but I say what the heck as long as you don't get sick and can get over the mental part of it.
