Hello,

I know Canadians can get their medical done in Toronto or MTL, but was wondering can we get it done in the US? I dont' really want to travel to Toronto (not a fan of that city at all) and my husband lives just as close as Toronto, so I would rather travel there -- it would be PA or OH or even MI that I would be interested in getting it done there.

It appears from the DOS website that you are required to use the panel physicians listed for the Embassy where you will interview. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3739.html

Perhaps posting in the Cnada forum will bring up someone who might know for certain. Good luck Amy. :thumbs:

i'm fairly certain you have to use the approved physicians in canada..as you are canadian. In all the research i've done, i've never come across anyting on dos or nvc that states you can have the medical done in the usa. There is probably a reason for this but alas that i do not know.

Unless it has changed and unless it is a different medical than a K-1, there are panel doctors in other Cities. Not sure where you are located but maybe there is another one closer to you.

Unfortunately there are now only 4 offices for medicals in Canada; one in Vancouver, one in Toronto and two in Montreal.

I'm pretty sure you must go to one of the panal physicians listed by website OBX listed. They have been approved for US immigration.

Good luck - you don't have to go to Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver have doctors as well
