My fiancee has his K1 interview on April 1st in Casablanca, Morocco. The paperwork says to bring "evidence of financial support". What is this? Financial support of whom? Himself? Or proof that I will be supporting him once he gets here? And if so, why didnt they ask me for this when i sent all of my paperwork in? Its not really clear what this is.

Thanks!

Perhaps you/they are referring to an affidavit of support? (I-134 etc)

Thats what i'm not sure about? It says, and I quote "Evidence of financial support". I had read about the affidavits of support online, however the packet doesn't talk about that or include one. It literally says financial support. I emailed the consulate regarding this and I'm still waiting for a response, however my fiancee is traveling to the consulate city in only 3 days, so we should get answers before he leaves.

Thanks!!

Typically the I-134 is used for a K visa petition. You will get the best info about Casa in the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) regional forum. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/97-middle-east-and-north-africa/

From the quick reading that I did it seems that the I-134 isn't always reviewed. Some posters felt safer having one there in case the CO wanted it. Better to be over prepared and get the visa than get a blue slip and have to submit additional docs.

Best of luck.

Financial requirements tend to be Consulate specific. Check with the appropriate regional forum for clarification.

I-134 is commonly used for K1 visa applications, not with ANY petition.
