Fiona,

I know it must be hard because you moved your son and he feels the effects of all this. I am sure he knows how strong his mother is and respects you even more, sons tend to do this. You took a chance and followed your heart. It is unfortunate he turned out to be something different, but remember you are still the same but stronger now and nothing no matter how painful can take that from you. Stay strong and be proud you took the chance and opportunity for change, you have good things ahead of you!!! Believe in love and don't let him take that from you!!!

I have just read through this thread and am horrified that it turned into a foul-mouthed brawl. What on earth is this SMC thinking - there is obviously something seriously wrong with them. It amazes me how people can hide behind a computer screen and blast obscenities (as they have done in other threads), but meet them in person and they are usually pathetic wimps!

The OP was informing everyone here of the possibilities for any of us. Yes, it is a chance we all take, leaving our homes in another country to come here to the US. There are no guarantees, just the hope that the relationships we have will last a lifetime. I was very saddened to read of Fiona's experience, but we should all be thankful for the reminder.

As far as the personal dig at Tracy is concerned, that was totally uncalled for. Where does it say, anywhere, on this board that people have to be in the middle of the immigration process. In fact, I think Tracy is probably the most sensible one here - she is doing her research so that when she and Chas are able to apply for their visa she will be so well informed of the possible pitfalls it will be a breeze for them. Personally, I have found Tracy very supportive, informative, helpful and I sincerely hope that I can return all the help she has given me and many others. Tracy, don't you dare let this person stop you from posting here - your valued help and encouragement here would be sorely missed and this person really isn't worth it.

I sincerely hope that SMC has been banned from this board. There is never an excuse for such behaviour, or language, but like I said, this person is probably a total wimp hiding behind a screen-name.

Good luck Fiona in whatever your life brings in the future and, from what you have already written, you are obviously a good person and would not have deserved a life with such a person - you deserve better and I truly believe that you will find that person and, although you have been through such a painful time, in the future you will be relieved that things turned out as they did.

Our journey started in 2001 and it's still not over. It's been a rollercoaster ride all the way! Let me off - I wanna be sick!

You all gave the pot-stirrer exactly what he wanted--your reactions. I've found the best way to get such posts to stop is to not respond to them at all. Act as if they were never posted. The stronger your response, the more you have satisfied their hunger for attention.

I agree, there's always someone who comes across an online community and just wants to start trouble. Ignore them and they'll go away. Although I know it can be hurtful to have someone treat you like that when you've done nothing to provoke them. Don't go just because they're being pricks. I appreciate the wisdom of others on this board, whether I've known them for a day or for months.

FYI, I have warned and suspended SMC for a few days. If he acts up again feel free to contact me. Maybe they will return with a new attitude. We should all be friends and family here. :)

I think things are getting a lil confuzzled on here. TracyN hasn't gone anywhere and very much doubt she would allow this sort of nonsense to chase her off. Tracy has been here long enuf and has a thicker skin then to take someone like smc seriously to effect her leaving. Regardless he is a #### that does just need to be ignored. As the Capt'n said he has been dealt with.... for now. I doubt he will get too many more chances.

Yep the Capt'n is right.......friends and family here

I'm a lil disappointed smc didnt PM me hahahahaha

To the OP Fiona *HUGS* and sorry your thread turned into this.

Well I for one hope he/she/them finds another site if they really need immigration advice....either that or get a personality check and stop hiding behind a computer screen for kicks. But it is so easy for multiple accounts on this site we will probably never know if he came back anyway.....next time he will be the same a$$hole under a different name....if he isn't already....

Kudos Cap'n Ewok!

I have found that aussiewench, welshcookie, jaylen brit... just to name a few, and a great many others... have been and still are a TREMENDOUS help and support for all of us going through this journey... and it is difficult for someone to come here on the web and post very personal and private stuff... let alone be attacked by some jackoff... thank you guys for everything that you do... and everything that you will continue to do. I am sure that I am not the only one who feels this way. I have not gotten to know these people personally, but I can say that they are a great moral support to anyone and everyone here.

As for the 2 people (ktun & idocare) who had jerks for husbands... thank you for sharing with us your lives... and your pain... I for one would like to say that I am praying for ya'll... and wishing you the best. Ultimately in the end, JUSTICE will prevail.

Blessings to everyone!

I'm a little  I have to say. ONE member could never make me stop posting but I'm sure that's how it looked. I think, overall, I'm just 'message boarded out' (if that makes sense). Its been coming on for a while, and I guess this was just the catalyst.

Regardless, I appreciate the Ewok's response and all the PMs I've received (as well as messages here). I remain a bit board weary, and probably won't post as much, but the great people here make it difficult to depart entirely.

Thanks again, and once again a MAJOR 'I'm sorry' to the OP for the derailment. Lets all move on, yeah?

Not to drag this out but , I wished I knew about this site before I filed as I sure I would have done a few things different on my petition. And now that we did file it is nice to know (sometimes) what to expect next. This site has been nothing but help in more ways than one.

Hope the best for you Trac.
