Myself had secrets in my life that I did not tell my fiance about but I knew that to make this work I had to tell her about them(my past). Once I told her it was such a relief. Your story is a sad one. This guy did you wrong and he probably does not care about your feelings. Believe it or not it is probably the best thing for you and your son to be without him! I'm so sorry for what you and your son went through and I wish you the best of luck for the future.

You have good words of advice at the end of your post.

Also may I add in reference to those coming from other countries. If you are holding a job back in your country, to consider a "leave of absence" if your company allows it. I was fortunate that in my last job in Canada I was able to take an "unpaid year leave of absence" and I did ask for it. My friends and co-workers told me then even though they felt strongly that everything would work out well here in the U.S., there was always that chance that something could go wrong. I brought this up with my then fiance and he had encouraged me to do it. It didn't matter about a home because I was only renting a townhouse at the time and would have been able to live temporarily with one of my daughters or parents if need be.

Tracy has been here a long time to learn everything she can about the visa process. There are very good reasons for why she and Chas have not yet been able to file for the visa. She has been so helpful and kind to so many people here, including myself, and I won't see her good name slagged off so casually and cruelly by someone who has no f***ing idea about anything.

Same for welshcookie...I don't know her as well as I do Tracy, but there's absolutely nothing on her part to warrant such heartless treatment.

I too was appalled to read what I did when I came on this thread....as you see I tend to lose my temper I know VJ has been a difficult place for you (and me ) just lately and I hoped that you wouldn't find this thread . There are plenty of us who do care about you like Rebeccajo said.....and the sad thing is you do so much to offer help and support to strangers while you're own visajourney is held up by no fault of yours or Chas' and I hate that some silly #######(s) has put you off participating in VJ , that they attack you personally in public and thro' PMs. Btw...I had a barrage of abusive PMs from him/'her....I'm not sure why HE was so pissed off....
