So very sad, and though it may not seem so right now, it's certainly for the best for you that things worked this way now rather than later.

If you've not already done so, I recommend that you write a letter describing your story, and send copies to both US Senators from his state, a copy to the USCIS, that includes your case number, a copy to DOS, and a copy to the congressperson from his district. There are a few bad people out there that have a history of this kind of thing.

Wishing you all the best in your future...

Fiona,

If you dont mind my asking. You dont have to answer if you dont wish. During the whole process to get your visa, was it yourself that paid all the fees, shared, or he paid them?

*hugs*

Dreamchaser,

I agree... you should not feel ashamed. You should hold your head up knowing that you did everything within your power to be a good wife and mom... and a good human being. You opened your heart and your life to someone... that is ALWAYS good... even when it doesn't work out, the blessing there is to have loved. You sound like a woman who loves with all of her heart, her being. Your ex is the one who is to be ashamed!!! What a jerk! My mom used to say... "What goes around, comes around... 10 times more worse!" I am thankful that you have wonderful support around you. It will be hard, but you are also a woman of strength... you can do it! I don't know you, but I am wishing you all the best... and that Love, TRUE LOVE... will find you! God bless you and your son!

*hugs*

Fiona,

I am so desperatley sorry to read of this and the hurt that both you and your son are going through, it is indefensible what he has done to you and my heart goes out to you.

Be strong for your little boy's sake, you have good friends both where you are and here, all our thoughts are with you and our hopes that sooner rather than later you will be able to put all this behind you.

You will pick up again Fiona, there IS only one way to go now for both your son and you and that is up and I pray that you will succed in everything you do

Good luck to you and lots of good thoughts and HUGS are on the way.

What a pity.

How long have you been back home now, Fiona? It sounds as if a LOT has happened to you since Christmas.

It was courageous of you to post this. I know when I first started to read VJ, I would freak out everytime I read about a couple breaking up. But the fact is - this whole journey is about real lives and real people - not just fairy tale love and romance. Those considering this path need to have their eyes wide open. Your pain, unfortunately, reminds us all of that.

I wish you peace as you heal. Truly.

Fiona,

I guess I'm a little naive about things because I'd never seen it coming either. You did what anyone in love would have done. Don't fault yourself for doing that. I know it must hurt terribly and I'm sure you still love him in spite of what he's done. Just try to be strong and keep looking toward the future and to better things.

You were very brave to come back here and tell your story. I know that was hard for you but will probably help in the healing process.

I wish you the very best in life!

It is hearbreaking to hear stories like yours, I hope you take comfort in knowing that you will help others a great deal by sharing this. I know it must be difficult to think about the future right now, but I wish you all the best-things WILL work out.

You are not alone I am sure this happens a lot more than people realize. Anyone going through this process knows how complicated things can get.

Things will work out for you & your son...........sending you hugs Fiona (F)
