The GOP's nuclear bomb against the Reconciliation bill in the Senate:

GOP: House bill won’t meet Senate parliamentary rules

As the Obamacare Turns…

The Democrats may be too clever by half in having the House adopt the Senate version — with changes.

Senate Republicans explained in a press release:

WASHINGTON DC – Senate Democrats have balked at a bi-partisan meeting with the Senate Parliamentarian to discuss a rule violation that could doom the entire House reconciliation proposal.

DON STEWART, McCONNELL SPOKESMAN: “Republicans have been trying to set up a meeting with Senate Democrats since yesterday to discuss this fatal point of order but have been met with nothing but silence. We suspect Democrats are slow walking us so as to have the House vote first. Since Senate Democrats refuse to meet with us and the Parliamentarian, we’ve informed our colleagues in the House that we believe the bill they’re now considering violates the clear language of Section 310g of the Congressional Budget Act, and the entire reconciliation bill is subject to a point of order and rejection in the Senate should it pass the House.”

Too bad for the folks on the right that this one turned out to be a dud. Senate Parliamentarian Alan Frumin reportedly denied the challenge today.

Frumin rules against GOP on Cadillac tax

Senate parliamentarian Alan Frumin ruled against Republicans who charged that the Cadillac tax language in the reconciliation bill was out of order, aides said Monday.

Frumin's decision leaves a big part of the bill in tact and makes the road for Democratic passage of the bill much smoother.

That's why I keep saying to all those forces of yesterday, hold on to that hard on while it lasts. This one could used some Viagra for sure...

I thought the US Constitution was the GOPs 'nuclear' option. But the Dems have defeated even that.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

The Neocons will have a chance to make changes as they see fit when they take the majority in both houses. Of course we all know they will do nothing of the sort. The last time they were given the reigns of government and allowed to call the shots their promises of less government and less spending turned out to be all lies. They ended up increased the government and spent more. So exactly why are the sheep believing their ####### now?

Wizards first rule: "People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."
