Hello all. I've been reading up on visajourney for awhile now and finally decided to post for the first time as i couldn't find my answer from reading through the faq, posts and searching. My fiance and I would like to start our journey but i have a weird question for all of you who can help.

I would like to start everything already by submitting the I-129F now so that we can get the ball rolling but would not be able to complete the NOA2 whenever it decides come since i do not make enough at this time for the I-134 since i was going to school full time and working only part time last year so my tax returns were below the requirement. I will make enough after the end of this year since im working full time now. is there a time limit to submit the paperwork for the NOA2? i would be submitting it around feb or march of 2007, after i get my W-2's and file my income taxes. that way i can provide the necessary information and documentation for the affidavit of support.

I hope im making sense. I'm very nervous about this whole journey that a lot of you are already going through but also really excited.

If you don't meet the requirements for the I-134, you can always have a co-sponser. That way you can submit the documents now (if that is what you really want).

Good luck with your journey.

i thought about having a co-sponsor but after reading up on the board, i got the feeling that the philippines doesn't like co-sponsors and they would not accept it.

The I-134 to prove your income is submitted after you receive the Notice of Action 2 from the US Service Center indicating your petition has been approved. At that point, your approved petition will go to National Service Center in the US and then to the consulate in the Philippines. From there, when you need to submit the additional documentation depends on how fast or slow they are to get everything to you, and the same for how fast or slow you return it.

If a co-sponsor isn't a good idea there, maybe you can time the return of your paperwork accordingly. Best to check the regional forums so you can get the help and experience of people who have dealt with the same consulate - you may find the co-sponsor part is not a big deal or other advice! Good luck.
