Seperate I-130 for child of future spouse?

Hi all!! I am new to this process and I am confused if whether I need a separate I-130 application for the daughter of my future spouse. If I do not need a separate form and the daughter is to be listed on the application for my wife-to-be then do I:

-mark both the top two boxes-(upper left section) in the A# section-Cr-1 and Cr-2?

-mark both the Husband/Wife and Child box in the A1 section. I will not have adopted her daughter so I am thinking I do not mark the Child Box.

-do I list the daughter in C17 and if do what do I put under the heading (Relationship)?

thank you!!

-mark both the top two boxes-(upper left section) in the A# section-Cr-1 and Cr-2?

Read the form, it says "DO NOT WRITE IN THIS BLOCK - FOR USCIS OFFICE ONLY"

Start at A. Relationship.

-mark both the Husband/Wife and Child box in the A1 section. I will not have adopted her daughter so I am thinking I do not mark the Child Box.

The I-130 for your wife you will mark "Husband/Wife" and on the one for her daughter you will mark "Child" as she will be your step-child

-do I list the daughter in C17 and if do what do I put under the heading (Relationship)?

On your wife's I-130 you will list yourself with relationship as "Husband" and her daughter with relationship as "Daughter"

On your step-daughter's you will not list anyone here.

yup. seperate fees.

355 x 2 on filing

70 x 1 for AOS

400 x 2 for IV

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

thank you Darnell, as I look at the "what happens after you mail the I-130.." information on this site I read that the NOA is next. I do not understand when this $70 is paid. Is payment sent in with the completed packet of Of-169, Of-230 and I-864 forms?

Also what is the IV that you indicate costs $400 x 2...Thank you

Basically, when you file an I-130 -

after approval at USCIS -

there is much paperwork to do at NVC, a seperate entity.

Have a read here -

DS-230 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

I-864 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3730.html

General NVC stuff - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

Many people want to 'get some speed' at NVC, instead of waiting on Postal Stuff.

So - a kind folsken set up some shortcuts to get through NVC as fast as possible,

see http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut

If you want to focus on 'payment-portal-specific pushing' - see

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467

for fees - I'll leave it to you to line up the document sets (AOS and IV) with the forms and fees, from the links above.

Good Luck ! You have some more reading and homework to do - it's never easy...

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
