Ok, today is the day i go to the dentist for 4 root filings (front teeth, all 6 need caps) and get 6 teeth ready for caps, and fit the temporary caps. IM SO SCARED, this is no joke, i have a phobia of the dentist BUT this has to be done.

Im sat here nearly in tears. (its a 3 hour appointment)

Any advice please on how to calm down?

They said i could have laughing gas if i need it, whats that?

Thanks guys. :(

Just make sure they numb you well. My Dentist will check and sometimes give another injection until I can't feel a thing, he also covers my other teeth that are sensitive with a lil cotton swab blanket to ease the sensitivity.

Take an I-pod or walkman with you and listen to that for a few hours, I am sure he won't mind.

Hope it all goes well, just think in time this will be all worth it.

Laughing gas will relax you, maybe put you to sleep, so DEF have some!!

After tho you might feel a bit sick (its an anesthetic) - but if not, go right to bed and you will sleep off the effects in a couple of hours.

I used to have a dental phobia too - and lost 2 teeth because of it - until my dentist offered me valium each visit (pricey yes but worth it) now I don't have a phobia and I have good teeth!

Good luck and try not to worry!
