You're fussing over a health care bill that you have no idea how it will effect your own private insurance in terms of premiums. If your premiums go down, are you going to change your view about it?

If your premiums go up, will you?

This bill reduces the deficit, verified by the CBO report.

How can the CBO report be accurate when the Bill is not even close to being finalised?

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

I don't feel like paying for your health care either, so if something happens to you, please die quickly, k?

Like it or not, you are doing that with any form of insurance, wake up.

Hey, no complaining allowed! Our government demands us to need and like this bill! It creates jobs for 17,000 IRS agents to makes sure we do. Get in line for the makeover of America into a dictatorial potentate. It's what you want, get it?!

Oh, and be grateful for one stop federal shopping for student loans, too.

This bill reduces the deficit, verified by the CBO report.

"Could this really be true? How can the budget office give a green light to a bill that commits the federal government to spending nearly $1 trillion more over the next 10 years?

The answer, unfortunately, is that the budget office is required to take written legislation at face value and not second-guess the plausibility of what it is handed. So fantasy in, fantasy out.

In reality, if you strip out all the gimmicks and budgetary games and rework the calculus, a wholly different picture emerges: The health care reform legislation would raise, not lower, federal deficits, by $562 billion."

As someone who was FOR healthcare reform, I'm disappointed.

This bill honestly, doesn't solve the problems. We're wasting a ton of money and not going to get the results that we should.

Still fuming this morning.

I am completely dishearted that the trash in Washington would pull this bullshit.

Some of it I could possibly go with had they not included the individual mandate. As it stands now though, these people are nothing more than tyrannical puppets that need to be eradicated from the Capitol in one way or another.

This bill as it stands now does nothing to fix the problems facing the health care industry today and just creates another entitlement that will do much more harm to the system than good. If you think that your premiums are going to go down, then you are a damned fool. The idea that you can FORCIBLY add 30-40 million more people onto a system, many of which are going to instantly cost insurance companies millions of dollars each and every year because of their 'conditions' and cause premiums to go down is lunacy at its finest. Guess what folks, your premiums are going UP. Maybe not as much as they normally would, but they aren't going to go down, despite the rhetoric to try and trick people into supporting this bill.

Common sense seems to have left the debate long ago when this because about backroom deals and also about protecting the pharmaceutical companies. This is "change" you can believe in alright. It's change that you can now use as toilet paper that will cost you $20 a roll. Taxes up. Premiums up. Oh and your deficit despite the rhetoric and the precious CBO "estimate" (SEE THE WORD ESTIMATE THERE) as well, UP.

Some people don't have a damn clue or understanding of economics, nor do they really understand what's burdening our current system. Actually study the system and look at what some of the current mandates do and some of the regulations. The uninsured do cost money as well, yes, BUT that's not reflected in premiums and isn't as big of an effect as prescription drug prices are, medical equipment costs, etc. Study it, learn it and you'll learn we can save money just by giving doctors more lead way in the way they treat people. Oh and yes of course STOP THE DAMNED MEDICAL MALPRACTICE LAWSUITS IN THEIR TRACKS (well, the obscure ones anyway....).

What a day. What an utterly frustrating day. Time to stop giving to charities that provide any type of medical assisstance I suppose, as the guberment will take care of them now. :bonk:

As someone too busy to read 2300 pages of legalese that changes on a daily basis, I'm still trying to figure out how this bill can possibly reduce premiums for the majority of Americans who already have insurance. If you want to sell this bill as social justice to get insurance for those Americans that don't have access to it, I can understand that.

But can someone explain how this bill is going to make things better for anybody who already has private insurance, medicare, or medicaid?

The way I see it, this bill makes the situation worse for 90% of Americans.

If your premiums go up, will you?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
