I'm not sure if they will call your old place of work to verify your identity. If you left on good terms you might want to email them with your new name anyway - in case you use them as a reference for a new job?

Thanks Trailmix,

I still work for the same company, but started working there under my married name, so they don't know me as Trina J****n. I am probably making a bigger deal out of this than needed. I just don't understand why they need my employment history for a passport.

Why do they need my employment history for the last two years? Are they going to call my place of work to verify?

That means they'll ask for Trina J*****n and not, B****n, and my work will say no one works here with that name. Or am I just allowing this to stress me out more than I should?

TrinaBee-I have no clue about that either...Lol..Maybe they are just nosy or something? And they want to make sure that Canadian passport holders aren't terrorists (just kidding...). If it makes you feel any better, US immigration forms ask the same thing too, so it's pretty standard for statistical reasons, really. The people that Passport Canada are more likely to contact (instead of your former employers), are your guarrantors and references. So make sure that they are available and/or can be reached in case they are questioned. Lol..The guarrantors and references that I used were not contacted, but I know of others who have had their guarrantors and references contacted...So make sure they are ready for that too.

Ant - By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what other citizenship do you have?

Trailmix- In answer to your question: I have American citizenship through naturalization and Canadian citizenship through naturalization..;)

And I am proud of being a dual citizen of Canada and the USA! :star:

Lol..I know that's not the answer you are looking for...

But I can say this though, about the answer you are looking for: Yes, I have another former birth country, and as far as I know, I don't have citizenship and/or any other association to that country (lol..other than a birth certificate that I would like to get rid of). I can also tell you that it is a communist country and that it is not a european country...Lol..maybe you can narrow it down from there, I think...;)

(I can't tell you anymore, as I have negative viewpoints about this country and I don't want to offend any other VJers who might be/are citzens of that communist country.....). Hope this helps answer your questions too...;)
