Actually, no. My employer sponsored coverage is expected to become less expensive as a result of the bill.

You guys crack my up you are so easy.

Seriously, you really think the Gov is going to cover all these preexisting conditions... and all these 30 million new people who will be getting part of it free ... and your payment is going down?

That is virgin talk.

Danno, you should be proud that the country you love is on the road to catch up with the rest of the developed world. Next, we need to invest in job creating, life improving infrastructure upgrades and modernization.

:secret: It was getting a little embarrassing that the health care was on par with second and more particular third world systems.

The second joke is... we thought we greenlighted obama to get started last year on those things... the moneys gone but I have not seen so much as one bridge.

If the money is gone then someone has squandered it. Unlike the federalist, one guess who manages state or country projects?

I was driving on I95 today and was just shaking my head at how pathetic the roads are. Then thinking of the rhetoric about not needing mass transport because we use cars here. Fair enough, so why are our roads so third world like then? Or are we going to blame Obama on this one too?

True story - on our last trip the Ethiopia, both my wife and my daughter required medical care. My wife for a broken leg and my daughter for an infection that caused her to run up a fever which caused her to go into seizures - the most scary thing I've ever been through in my life. Anyway, we had my wife taken care of with no wait times, no bureaucracy and all of $50.00 worth of out-of pocket expenses. The care there was as good as any care here would have been - only she didn't have to wait in the ER. For my daughter, no wait times. I stormed into the doctors office with her on my arms and we were out of the hospital within the hour - spinal fluid tests to rule out any meningitis infection and all. Cost on that one - antibiotics included - was somewhere around $25.00. That's Ethiopia - one of the poorest countries on the planet. And their health care system worked like a charm.

Yes, I did have my daughter in the ER in the US with a febrile seizure episode as well. The experience wasn't nearly as pleasant nor were we taken care of as promptly as we did in the third world country. The only thing that functioned way better was the emergency service - kudos to our local fire department. And yes, my daughter suffered one of her seizure episodes while we were waiting for an hour plus while she was sick at the pediatricians office.

Best health care system in the world my fcuking patoot.

Shrill is your domain, I'm just stating fact. It's cheaper to lose that benie than to pay a fine and move your employees onto federal welfare.

Again, bullshite. In he real world, where companies compete for real talent, no such thing would ever occur. Maybe you should try and work with companies that aren't slave-drivers and operate on 100% + turn-over rates. One of those days, you might actually be in a position where you deal with real businesses. Nah, scratch that. You won't be.

That is even more embarrassing. Having used a different system myself, I can personally vouch that our system here is nothing to write home about.

I did love watching the repub senators claim we have the best system in the world. Based on ###### what..

I understand this, but, with your new plan... ER coverage is just the starting point of coverage.

But why don't you just be honest and say..... you want everyone to be covered .... and your monthly cost to go down?

This is exactly why long term prospects are not good, a large number of people do feel this way.

I work with real companies, multinational companies. They cull international talent, and have only been constrained by this country's habit of providing health insurance thru employers. That constraint will be removed, and the rules of global competition changed. People like you who have no hope of competing in a global marketplace will eat bullsh!t, not spew it.

It is, if you have a particular point of view. One that finds it better that high quality of care is only available to those who can afford it. These people don't find a problem with health care being available to fewer and fewer people, it makes it more exclusive.
