The only way to get around a mandate on health insurance is to close our facilities - including the ER's - to those that can't pay for the services they seek to receive. Otherwise, many of the invincibles out there - quite possibly including yourself - will eventually end up getting a free ride that I am paying for. I have no desire to keep picking up the tap for those that think they won't need medical care at some point or another and those that think that the few measly grand they have saved up will do the trick.

Meanwhile, the Senate languishes over the reconciliation fixes the House sent over, until it fades to obscurity, as do *Nancy and Harry, after November.

No matter what the predictions are for what will happen afterward from both sides, we won't know until it actually happens. I guess it's just time to see. I do think it's a little scary, it's the unknown. Lots of people are not happy about it. So is it going to work out well for the country or is it going to make a big mess? I don't know yet. If it's a big screw up, it's not like it can't be fixed. What we already have is not so great to begin with. Don't others ever get tired of reading the left thinking the right are morons and the right thinking the left are morons? One side can't always be right, ya know. I refuse to act like only one side is right.

The CEO of one of the companies I'm advising has already announced that he's dumping corporate health care if this bill passes. This will happen across the country, making Obamacare a new reality for Kool-Aid drinkers.
