I just received the GC in mail yesterday, but never received a notice on I-130 approval. Am I supposed to receive one?

Also, I've never received my EAD. Called USCIS, and was just told it's pending. Do I still need to contact USCIS about the EAD application since I've gotten the GC?

Last question: how can I change the VJ timeline status (in the left sidebar) from "AOS pending" to "AOS approved"? I've filled out the I-485 timeline and selected "yes" on the approval drop down menu, but my timeline status never changed.

Any information on any above question is appreciated.

if you have the greencard - no need to worry about the EAD.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

If you are a card player, you understand the importance of the joker. The Green Card is the joker. No matter the other documents, the Green Card is approval, work authorization, status documentation and so many other things all in one.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Like everyone said congrats & don't worry! The green card trumps everything. You won't need your EAD.

As for the I-130 i think they just forget to update them. Mine still says pending online & i've had my green card almost 2 months! I did get a letter saying it was approved, which you may still get. But even if you don't I wouldn't worry about it from what i've seen on here a lot of people never hear about it, so longs you have the green card all is good!

Congrats on the GC! Don't worry about the EAD, it's worthless now. Also, some people never get an approval or update on the I-130 after the I-485 is approved
