Hello

I would like to know if there are any problems with my US husband coming with me to the interview? Will they directly ask him any questions? Will they ask him to leave the room for part of the interview?

Also, could people who have already done the interview give me some sample questions so I know what to expect? Can anyone give me advice on how to prepare for the interview - i.e. bring photos and other possible proof supporting our marriage?

Thank you

P.

Hi,

Yes, your Husband should be able to join you, whether they talk to him/have him come in to the interview area with you is up to the CO doing the interview on the day, but many have had their spouse accompany them and sit in on the interview.

To see reviews of previous interviews in Montreal, just click on the Reviews Embassy link at the top of this page and then select Montreal from the consulate drop down box on the left.

You will need 2 U.S. passport size photos, a pre-paid expresspost envelope (biggest size they sell) and everything else they have asked you for in the checklist they send you.

Yes, you should always bring some proof of your bonafide relationship.
