I thought the question on the form was for crimes you were either:

1. arrested for or

2. convicted of.

if you committed a crime and weren't arrested, then (unless I totally misunderstand the form) - you have nothing to report, yes?

Question 15 ask about crimes you have committed and not been arrested for

Of course there are crimes that will result in long prison terms or even execution for any USC, but after that sentence is served, USC can stay here where an immigrant would face deportation in terms of a prison sentence.

But then just crimes regarding just immigration that can result in deportation, like forgetting to apply for your I-751, overstaying a work or student visa then finding a USC to marry, or just pure fraud in your intentions only to marry a USC with not intent to stay married, just to come here.

Was quite a shock to me after that long AOS process to learn about the conditional card, and that the USCIS does not remind you to apply for it. So for 21 months had a big sign pasted to my refrigerator door. Then having proof the application was sent, USCIS could misplace it and you still would be in big trouble, they did misplace ours. Wasn't too concerned about working illegally, wife's employer was more concerned about that, could be fined $16,000.00 if she worked a day over her expiration date. During that 21 month period, was also gathering evidence of our relationship and made two identical I-751 stacks of the application and evidence in case they lost the original. Would be very difficult to compile that again.

Then for 11 months and two weeks, wife had to carry that one year extension notice with her, besides her green card, that was awkward to say the least. That one year extension notice is one very large piece of paper to have to haul around.

Most important document I have to carry with me is my drivers' license, if lost or stolen, only have to drive a mile, pay a couple of bucks and get a new one. Having your green card lost or stolen is a major disaster in terms of fees, and that long waiting time.

During this phase, almost like the USCIS is trying to deport you.
