Sorry y'all, just need to vent a lil. :cry: I've been having BAD DAYS for a while now and it's finally getting to the point to where I am about to have a nervous breakdown. I don't know what is wrong with me. My family life sucks bad, work is putting me through hell and back, and this whole visa process/not being with my fiancé is killing me. I've gotten to where I am so depressed and get so upset about ANYTHING and everything. I find myself crying for no reason. Of course, there are times that spark the anger and hurt inside. I keep telling myself that things will get better, but so far, for A LONG TIME now :clock: , it hasn't. :help:

Try some clary sage - or B6 vitamin, both great emotional stabilisers.

Just keep focusing on the future, it WILL get better and there IS light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes.. you're going through one of the most stressful times of your life.

Our bodies and emotions deal with these in their own way, but usually you find an inner strength to deal with them.

I'm not the kind of person who likes to depend on drugs to help me with times like this, I prefer more natural remedies, but if you are, might be time to visit your doctor.

I'm not the type to deal with drugs either. Legal or not. I just want some peace. I am under a tremendous amount of stress right now, with lots of things, not only the visa process. Day-by-day, I'm overwhelmed with #######. It gets hard to deal with, and some things set off problems in other areas, so it just makes the whole ordeal a mess. It all goes hand-in-hand. What to do? :(

May seem strange but when I get stressed etc, I manically write lists. Lists of where I am with the situation, where I want to be, how I can get there. It really helps me.

I have years of lists written at all hours of the day, sometimes ramblings of a mad woman, some of them quite sensible!

Sometimes I write poetry when I'm upset, but lately, I have been too upset and too busy. It helps, but then I get into bad thoughts. I also sound like a mad woman. LOL! :ranting:

Mandi, I'm not an expert, but maybe you need to seek professional help. You're not going to get it from a message board.

Seriously, if you are truly feeling this bad, you need to be seen by someone.

I don't know, but I think you need to find an outlet for your stress. Something that you like to do that may take your mind off of things. Maybe try exercising...that is a great outlet for stress and it will make you feel better.

I'm sorry you are so stressed out. I had a hard time while in the visa process along with my job but my family was always there to support me, and yet I would still go through very emotional times and be upset, overwhelmed, stressed etc. So I can't imagine how much harder it is when you don't have good support around you. I'll pray for you. I had read on a post of yours that you were a Christian so what if you try reading through the book of Psalms? That would sometimes help me. The chapters are full of struggle, but always end in good things.

Psalm 6

"....2 Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am faint;

O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony.

3 My soul is in anguish.

How long, O LORD, how long?

4 Turn, O LORD, and deliver me;

save me because of your unfailing love.

5 No one remembers you when he is dead.

Who praises you from the grave ?

6 I am worn out from groaning;

all night long I flood my bed with weeping

and drench my couch with tears. ....."

(I wouldn't generally just post a scripture unless I thought the person would like it, and I think Mandi would like it) :P

Yeah, I probably DO need to see someone. But most of the problems would go away if I had my fiancé.

Thanks, Stina. You're always a great help. Thanks for your prayers. I have been through most of the bible. Especially Psalms. Thanks for pointing it out. :thumbs:

Yeah, I probably DO need to see someone. But most of the problems would go away if I had my fiancé.

But that's the problem....you can't just make your fiancee the band aid that cures everything. Yes, this is tough and excrutiating stuff (the wait) and frought with lonliness, angst, etc....but you must learn to deal with life's schit on your own. It will make you a stronger person in the end.

Your fiancee can't help your work situation, or the family situation. Yes, his abscence is magnifying everything, but at the end of the day, only you can help yourself. I know it sounds trite, but there you go...my $17.99 :)

Well, I let you in on what I'm going through so we can get depressed together! :D

I got married in January and naively applied for a tourist visa for my wife because I am still in college, and I NAIVELY thought that my government would serve me.

Now, I am stuck in the doldrums at the NBC waiting for an approval, and watching K-1s get approved like loans from a pawn-shop.

The last time I saw my wife, the day before I left my best friend was in a car wreck in Germany. She was broadsided by a motorcycle doing 120 mph. and the accident killed her mom and the motorcyclist.

The day I came back, I found out my older sister has brain cancer. She just had surgury last weekend, and the tumor was on top of her speech center. The doctors say that her speaking will return to normal in 6 months. For those 6 months, she is also seizure watch due to random brain swelling, so on my off days when I am not at work, university, or flying (im studying to be a pilot), I get to watch three children under the age of five, who INSIST on playing "Hungry Hungry Hippos" for hours.

I play semi-pro football and I have a stress fracture that I ignored so I wouldnt miss the season. Now it healed inproperly and it hurts whenever I put inside pressure on my left foot. I have been hit so many times that after game days, I wake up and feel like I am 50 years old. When it rains my knees ache, and my neck and back pop like bubble wrap.

I deal with it like this:

I live by the saying that "Tomorrow will be better." I don't go beyond that so that way I am never dissapointed. (ex. if yesterday sucked, today was worse, tomorrow will be better.)

I find that just doing that, and adding in a little prayer if you are religious can help calm the nerves.

I also smoke heavily (thank you USMC) to deal with stress. I don't reccomend that one.

Don't worry, things will get better.
