Ok, question

So, i have a sponsor lined up. Gathering tax forms and the like. Now the question, i think they may be behind a lil on tax's or something like that, but is it true a tax form, if they give me one, wouldn't really show that kinda detail. It would only show them paying the taxes and how much they earned that year.

So again, does a tax form only show how much they earned that year, or does it also show if they have been behind or something like that?

Good question, Im not too sure. Hubby got a typical transcript and it just shows how much he made, tax deductions and what he received (or was to receive back)... That was it

You mean a copy (from your own records) or Federal copy?

Getting the tax transcripts is the best bet for most. There is no question about what is on anything because it comes from the IRS. They are free and come in about 2 weeks.

yea thankyou, i would like to get that. Erm sorry your link didn't work, but what is the tax forms name? the on you use to request it n then i can just get it from the website thanks. I need the irs transcript with the W2's on right, there seem to be a couple of diff ones you can get.

The ones with W-2s take about 30 days, the ones we got said ten days, got in three... Since we have copies of his W2s, we only needed the regular transcript. THESE LINKS ARE FOR DIFFEREFNT FORMS THAT ARE NOT THE SAME THING BUT HAVE OPTIONS TO SELECT TRANSCRIPT REQUEST- see which one'll suit u best

so it would be ok to get that 10day one, the nice free one and then just attach a W2 to it? They wanted only 2008. That seem logical to anyone?

Well usually they dont provide the last years return but if you put 2009 on it like we did, you just might get this years' if you already filed but they are all free ...

on that form, sorry, but on question 5, do we fill it out that it is going to a third party? or just a n/a for that one, and then in question 6 we say 1040 n then tick 'a'

Does a sponsor really need to include a letter from their bank? Or is it acceptable if they provide pay stubs, letter of employment and the tax transcript?

Just know a bank letter can take a week to get

Employment letter is optional... all others are good
