Hey guys and girls...

Just a few questions regarding the DS-156 and DS-156K forms.

1. My fiancees son was born in the US and has a US passport but has lived in Russia for all but 8 months of his life.

Do I need to still list him on the 156/156K forms or leave him off completely? He will be travelling with my

fiancee when the K1 is approved and they come here. I am concerned if I dont list him on the form they will

ask why he isnt listed on the form because he is her son and reject the K1?!?

2. I know he wont have to have a medical exam because of his status as a US citizen (just her) but will she still need to bring

his medical records of all his vaccinations, etc?!?

3. Anyone willing to let me see a copy of their letter of intent (to marry) to use as a "roadmap?!?

Any more info or insight to the process is greatly appreciated!!!

Did you list him on the I-129F and include G-325A for him too?

If no, then don't list him on the DS-156. If yes, then list him too.

You're not sponsoring him over since he's a citizen, but since he is a minor child of the foreign citizen you're sponsoring, he could be included in there somewhere. I would probably contact the embassy directly on this matter.

As for "letter of intent" didn't you already do one with your I-129F packet? Is so, just change the dates. If not... uh, first of all, why not? And second of all, maybe you don't need one then!

I don't know where mine is right now but I know I followed the one in the guides section pretty closely. I'm pretty sure I just changed the names/dates and that was it. Simple. You don't need a long, "I really love her and our life will be so great" letter. Simply a "we're planning on getting married" will suffice.

Keep the questions coming, that's why we're here!

Ensure your beneficiary makes and brings with them to the States a copy of the DS-3025 (vaccination form)

If the government is going to force me to exercise my "right" to health care, then they better start requiring people to exercise their Right to Bear Arms. - "Where's my public option rifle?"

As Slim mentions, you should have had a letter of intent already, just change the dates, OR use the example here on VJ and change the names and dates.

We did instead of VJ sample letter.....

Guess it passed for a "letter of intent"

The adjudicators at VSC call them "hunny bunny's" for this reason. They probably talked about you at lunch. But hey, they are government workers in a "cube farm", poor folks need a little entertainment

I could really care less what they call us or do, as long as it was approved. It was. So yeah...

Exactly. But for the interview we'll write a simple: I intend to marry my USC fiance within 90 days of entry to the United States.

Exactly. But for the interview we'll write a simple: I intend to marry my USC fiance within 90 days of entry to the United States.

I did the same; used the VJ example for both the I-129F and the interview. Because Alla was grilled with some purposefully false questions since we met via an online agency (and she is a MOB) and because the little one was fussing and caused her to stumble on some of the other questions, she was given a 221G and told to send in more evidence of our relationship. As I was going through the tons of emails/Skype records/phone and SMS records or photos, it became clear to me to summarize this evidence and I wrote a longer second letter which decribes the evidence and how it showed a relationship beginning and then blossoming and then becoming love. The letter served as a roadmap for the evidence.

I don't know if it was the 10 large emails of evidence that I sent, or this letter, or the 10 pounds of documents that FedEx delivered to their doorstep, but she was granted the visa very quickly.
