Does anyone know how I serve my husband divorce papers in Jamaica?

Try having them served by a DXX. No just kidding, you can call the courts to see if they can give you references to a server. Also, they can be served by a friend, but your husband must sign for it. If he don't sign for them, then I don't know how the US courts will look at it.

Send the papers certified mail, by FEDeX, they will delivery them even if the person has no formal address. But the papers in a box, and let him think he is getting a package from the US, ask fedex for a sign delivery. That's my 02 cents.

Thanks Life. I thought about sending them DHL since he has to sign to get the package. Getting him to sign them won't be a problem.

Depending on the state of your residence, you may not even need your husband's signature? Feel free to send me a PM, I will research the divorce laws for your state.

You will need to have someone sign an affidavit of service. A domestic court wont take a signed FedEx form. Personal service is governed by rules of civil procedure in your state. I'd talk to a lawyer and see if someone can give you some advice on proper service overseas. You might be able to get an alternative method of service. Would he be willing to waive service or is he contesting the divorce?
