I really don't know where to start or if I'm in the right section, so bare with me as I explain. My husband returned to Norway this month and we are awaiting the decision on a I-129f I just filed a few days ago, but what we are wondering is....can he still return in April (he already has a ticket for the end of April for the states), on the VWP? We are still really confused about the whole immigration process on what we can and cannot do. If we wait for the approval then we lose the money spent on ticket and it is non-refundable. But if he comes back when his ticket says then we dont want there to be any issues at the airport here in the states and have to have him turn around and go right back to Norway. I hope you can understand what Im asking.

The answer depends on how much time he already spent in the USA during th past twelve months and what he states as the purpose of his visit. Visiting during the process is the most FAQ here. There's lots to read about it. I suggest you do so as there are numerous considerations.

I understand that there are "numerous considerations". The problem is like I said Im new here, its hard to navigate and know where the answers might lay. Plus he is on VWP and finding info on it anywhere is like searching for a needle in a haystack at this point. Forget asking any Government office, we have talked to 10 different people in the past regarding other issues and we get 10 different answers. Could you kindly send me a link if possible to one of the many links on this site as to where to start searching for an answer?

Read threads here on VJ about visiting during the process. Start in the K1 forum. The VWP is for visiting, so it's important he doesn't spend more time in the US than in Norway.

Since you're new, how about going to the VJ home page and clicking on the new member guide?
