Confused about Affidavit of Support Processing Instructions

Hi

I have emailed my DS-3032 form to NVC, and have paid the AOS fee and printed my Document Cover Sheet.

In the Document Cover Sheet it says to follow the Affidavit of Support Processing Instructions, here

In my case, I have to file the I-864EZ form. I clicked on the instructions (here) for I-864EZ form and it says I need to complete the DS-230 form as well (See Below).

"Where to File :

Give the completed affidavit of support with all required documentation to the sponsored immigrant to file with either:

* a Consular Officer with a completed Form OF-230, Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration, or

* an Immigration Officer with a completed Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status"

I thought the DS-230 form is to be completed with the IV Application Processing Fees?

Pay attention, non-EP NVC noobs. Here's Christeen's time tested formula to get you through NVC in one piece alive:

Petitioner: Get NVC # + give operator your email IDs + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send I-864 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page.

Beneficiary: Get NVC# + receive DS3032 + send DS3032+ DS3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay & wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail DS230 package with all original/certified documents

= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled.

Currently the # of business days NVC is taking:

3-4 days for NVC to receive your case and assign a case #.

3-4 days to receive emailed links after case # has been assigned and email addresses been given to NVC operator.

1-2 days for the AOS bill to show as PAID.

1-3 days for DS3032 to be accepted.

1-2 days for IV bill to be PAID.

8-11 days for case complete after all your documents have been sent in.

If your AOS cover sheet shows as PAID, then go ahead and mail in your I-864 package.

Once your IV bill shows as PAID, print out the cover sheet with the barcode and send it in with the DS230 package.

So do I send just the I-864EZ form for now and wait until NVC has accepted the DS-3032 form?

Yes.

The EZ form with the supporting documentation.

When did you send in your DS3032? They take 1-3 days to be accepted.

Your IV bill will be generated once it is accepted.

I emailed my DS-3032 on 3/19/2010 (Friday). So it could take a couple days
