Extremely depressed

Well,

Am extremely depressed because no answer yet. And December fillers are getting their approval. I don't know what to think. I know that VSC averages 5 months, but I figured we would hear something since people that filled after us are getting news.

Let's just say that the morale of the troops is very low. I don't know if we should call them, or if that would actually make any difference.

Congratualtions on everyone that is getting an answer now. I just thought we were going to have a summer wedding, but turns out I should forget about it.

Man this su***!

Dont despair... I know it sucks. I had to wait a month and a half longer than everybody (or 95%) in my month.

But when the NOA2 finally came, I was just doubly happy. The extra wait didnt matter anymore.

And I know Fridays suck because you know you wont hear anything all weekend, but odds are you will get an answer very soon.

Don't worry, I've been there too. I watched everyone else pass me up by about a month, but my fiancee just got her visa, and even though the wait was longer it's all just a snapshot in the scheme of things! Good luck!

Don't worry. I am sure you will get it soon. i also hope that the rest will go smoothly after the approval. Mine got approved faster, but it is missing between USCIS and NVC now. So, be happy that at least you know where your case is, and you will hear the good news sooooooon!

I can imagine how you're feeling. We're still early on in the process, so I, unfortunately, can't give any advice or share our experience, but I am crossing my fingers for you guys, and I am sure there will be mail soon. I was reading Gary and Alla's interview with the VSC director yesterday, and it make me feel a lot more relaxed, since waiting times sometimes don't mean anything. Maybe it's just as simple as your file slipping into a later stack of petitions...

Hang in there, and once you hold it in your hands, you'll be triple happy :)

Our timelines are very similar and we also filled at the VSC. We got our NOA2 last week so I am sure yours will be with you in a week or so.

I know it is hard, believe me the day before we got our NOA2 I was going crazy with the waiting. No amount of anyone telling you "it will be there soon" is going to help unfortunately, my suggesting is venting to you fiance, have a good complain and it will make you feel a little better. The good news is that when you get it you will be so excited that you completely forget about the wait.

Good luck, I hope you get it soon

I know that it must be hard to not have an answer while you see others filing after you get approved. I do have to say that 4 months is not really long in the grand scheme of things though. Patience is something that you absolutely must have when going through the immigration process. I had to lose any feeling that I was owed anything during this process. I took things as they came and was thankful when they did. I should note that I filed our I-130 in Feb 2003 and didn't receive an approval until July 2005. From there, the officer who interviewed us and approved the petition kept it on his desk for almost 2 years without sending it to the NVC. We didn't get a straight answer as to where the petition was until my husband was taken into custody to be deported in 2007. Actually, the day he was taken into custody(after receiving a notice to appear and reporting to immigration) the officer said laughingly "oh yeah it's been sitting on so and so's desk."

Good luck. You should be getting your approval very soon.
