Just like most of us here, its the same VAWA application process & approval.

I Filed for VAWA on 10-01-2009 I received my Prima Facie in November-09 & also received my EAD. As i di not hear till Marh from VSC my lawyer requested for response & i received the RFE for Good Faith Marriage, Abuse & Good Moral Character.

I had sent everything with my application earliear Like affidavits from 2 ppl, Police clearence letter, DOJ letter, Pyschologist Report, Bank account statement, Marriage certificate, Photographs, Insurance papers, Utility Bills , Lease Papers.

Why is VSC asking for additional evidence, Has this happened to someone else also.

hi u mentioned you also got your ead did u file the same time as the i and if u got your ead without the actual i still pending?

Can someone help me out, I filled my vawa self petition, I received a Prima facie a week later. I also have to see an immigration Judge in few months to come. Do you guys think the Judge can just close the case?

Also can I Apply for a Social Security Number with my Prima facie letter? Someone help me out

My lawyer sent my application in June 2010. I received a prima facia on July 16th 2010 and they told me they were requesting files from another office. My case was last touched on 10/03/2010. I am still waiting. Maybe it depends on what they still need or maybe if you provided everything, they are just gonna send you an approval letter. do you have a lawyer?

Any news on your case? I have also received this letter saying that they were requesting files from the other office. I suppose is my I485 that is still pending from when my ex applied for I130.

I have just got my Prima Facie and was wondering how long it will take for my case to be approved (hopefully!!)

Nope. no response so far. it hasn't been touched since october 2010. It's been 6 months already. I am just going to wait one more month and then ask then about my case. I hope it gets approved too. good luck to you
