So,

First off, when looking at an IRS Tax Transcripts what section of that needs to be the one i am looking at to know whether they pass the poverty guideline? Is it the adjusted gross income?

Also, when the embassy needs the these, can they be a copy or do they need the original one he gets from the website or however he gets it? For instance, can he get it n then jus fax it to me?

Thanks

I'm wondering the same... I got my 2008 tax transcript and was hoping to just scan it and have my fiance print it on his computer... hopefully someone knows if an original is required.

I think sometimes copies are acceptable, however not always.. i dont know what the regulations are for tax documents, but the best advice i have seen and what i would say is whenever possible always use the original documents..

I will be taking everything to my interview in original, plus one copy.. which is what the london embassy states to do..

Good luck

I doubt the difference could be detected - except for paper size. If he printed them out on 8.5x11, I doubt anyone could tell the difference. It's not like those transcripts were precision printed in the first place.

Considering that they most common way to receive your tax transcripts is by fax, I don't think an original is required! I guess I can't say for certain, but honestly, the originals themselves are nothing fancy.
