Hey everyone,

I just got a call from my mom telling me that my dad was in a car accident and he is in the hospital right now and really not feeling well.

I adjusted my status from my tourist visa and our green card interview is scheduled for April 14th (I already received AP and Work Permit).

Can i fly to Germany and enter the USA again with my AP??

My family really needs me right now and it's a real emergency (i thought that's what the AP is for)

I was out of status for about 90 days, not near the 180 days ... which we heard can be major problem.

The hotline said we are okay ... but I am still a little bit worried....

Has anyone done this before? What are your experiences??

Also what form do you fill out on the plane?? The green one or the white one?? (+the blue customs form)

Thanks!!!

Best,

Stefanie

I cannot answer your question but I am going to move your thread from the AOS forum to the Travel section. Perhaps someone there has been in your shoes. You may try an InfoPass to explain your situation. Perhaps they could move up your GC interview. At any rate, I do know that the CBP Officers can (and do) deny entry if there has been an overstay...... whether USCIS has approved a visa or an AP or not. It all depends on the officer you get.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. I hope he has a speedy recovery. (F)
