Domicile

Hi !

Im confused about proving USA Domicile (or intentions to reestablish domicile in USA)..

Is this requirement only if I (the US citizen) will be the only sponsor?.. if I will use a joint sponsor do I still need to prove that?

We will live first in a friend's house (she can give a letter) and I will enroll my daugther in High School (but I dont know yet if it will be done before our interview date, the school has specific dates for that). Also I will be contacting by e mail to my last boss who once tell me if I come back to USA he wants me to work for him again.

These items will be enough proof? How hard are in the interview about this issue?

Hi,

It really depends on the consulate where the beneficiary is interviewing - they are all different - some are more strict than others. If you presented that information at the Montreal consulate, they would ask for much more, but at your consulate, it might be just fine.

I would first try looking at the Reviews (link at the top of this page) for your embassy and see if you can find any information there. If not you might want to try asking in your regional forum to see if anyone has been through the same scenario.

This is a requirement for all sponsors, so yes, it does apply to you as well, even though you have another sponsor.
