you have to call the NVC and ask when they sent the package to the embassy after that you can track it by reference on DHL website. The format to use is "EXP 07 MAR 2010A" don't forget the spaces...and to set the date range on the tracking page. The website for tracking is: http://track.dhl-usa...?nav=TrackByRef

The package may not go out on the next day, but the reference code will still be for that date. You'll see a list of packages going to different embassies. You'll know which one is yours.

It takes about a week or so for NVC to received and process your package. After receiving, it may take a couple of days for them to issue your new RDJ # which you will be using form then and on..

See my timeline for dates and processing.. may help a little - I didn’t contacted NVC, I got all the information by mail as I didn't sign for any electronic notifications..

I called NVC as soon as I knew my 129 had been approved. They received the visa package the next Monday. I called a few times a week and was told it was being processed. Then I got a letter Monday dated 3-12 saying within a week it would be sent to the consulate. I called anyway that night (15th) and was told it was shipped to the consulate on Thursday the 11th!! So I just called DHL, asked if he could tell me when the delivery date was. After answering a few of his questions he said 8 packages were shipped from NVC to BKK on the 11th and due to arrive the morning of the 16th. Very easy and the guy was very helpful. Sure, I didn't know which one was mine but I got the delivery date.
