I got the email notifications for AOS, AP and EAD yesterday, along with the case numbers, and was able to log into the USCIS website today and add each of the case numbers to my profile. Today, the check was cashed so we were able to see the picture of it. However, the case number printed on the back is different to the one I was given. The check case number is two numbers behind in the sequence. So, is this something that I should not worry about? When I log into USCIS, the case number I was emailed shows up as an AOS case number, and the other two numbers show up and AP and EAD.

Thankyou!

I had the same situation. When my checks were cashed, I tried to log on to the USCIS website and lookup the case with those numbers, but nothing came up. Two days later, I received all the NOA's and the receipt numbers on the NOA were different than the ones on the checks. I was able to lookup my application using the receipt number mailed to us, so I didn't think much of this difference. I wouldn't think this is a big issue, but will be helpful if someone who had the same case but received their GC on time, can confirm.

I think several of ours (receipt numbers on backs of checks) were wrong - I get the feeling the checks are run through a reader/endorser that doesn't always print the right number on the right check (not that it really matters I guess). At least you know they got your package and is so far, far enough into the system that they cashed your check. I wouldn't worry over it.star_smile.gif

Okay, thank you for your input. I wasn't going to get too worried over it, I just thought it was odd!

The case number on the back our check was different from the ones on our NOAs too. I think the one on the back of the check is a general case number? My AOS, EAD, and AP had the same numbers except for the last number.
