From USCIS To NVC

Is there anyone out there whose K-1 petition got approved by USCIS more than two weeks ago, but NVC never received the case? Also, is there any official document to show a case can sometimes take up to 90 days from USCIS to get to NVC? I know I have to wait for four weeks. So, please help me share your story (if any) and advice.

hello jasar, let me tell u that we were in the position actually we still there after 6 week of delay ,y bf call his congressman cuz uscis said ur file was approved and sent to nvc but nvc never got it.... so the congressman start doing his job and u wont believe this uscis approved but for some reason they never sent it to nvc, so no we have a second noa2 so we were approved twice, the was the last week and nvc doesnt have again we are can of furious and this is piss me off ggggrrrrrrr. we will wait untill Friday and if nvc say again that they dont have it my bf will contact his congressman again. and u should do the same.

I had the same problem.I got a e-mail from my congressman office requesting my info so he can look into it.I also call and check with USCIS.My petition was approved Feb 1ST.It been 1 month and NVC never got it.Now,They told me it was amended and re-approved for March 10th.I still gonna send in my info that I can hopefully be better this time.It's at least look like the congressman office is doing there job unlike USCIS.Now,I just need to wait and see if NVC get it within the 2 weeks or 3 weeks of approval.

After 4days my fiance start calling the NVC to ask if they already have our case.They always said,they have not receive it yet.But yesterday,my fiance called again and the person he spoke to said they don't have it yet but they gave us our Manila case number.That confused me.. How can they gave us our case number if they still don't have our case?

Other then waiting for a notice to come in the mail what is the best way to know if the NVC has received your case and it has been assigned a case number?

K-1 cases are NEVER inputted into the AVR. You will have to speak to an operator to get the number.

For CR-1s, call the AVR and follow the prompts.
