We're going to interview as soon as we can, so yeah, probably she'll be in states before Evgeniya.

Good luck to you as well.

Has Kiev received your stuff yet? I saw bunch of DHL going to Kiev in the past few days.

That's the thing about NVC, by the time you get the notice the case file is already on its way.

Congratulations to all and good luck the rest of the way. Get any final documents sent to her, make sure about the places for the medical exam and have the police reports ready. Good times are on the way.

You can always ask, but they never do it. They'll move it out for you, if you need some extra time to get documents and travel arrangements ready, but I can't recall a single instance of the Moscow embassy ever moving an interview up. But don't worry, as the date gets closer you might even find yourself wishing you had just a few extra days. It happens REALLY fast! :)

This is so true. The days are flying by and I have so much to do. I've been a bachelor since 2006 so let's just say I have some adjusting and rearranging to do. But, I won't do too much. As Tanya says, "Barry, I know that you need me. We will make our 'doma' ready for a family together." That means I get to lift heavy stuff.

Oh...it means a lot more than lifting heavy stuff. You will be kept very busy my friend. (but you'll love every minute of it.)

OH so true! We expect you will disappear from the VJ RUB forum for a while. You will occasionally surface, gasping for air, with a brief update and then disappear for more weeks at a time. Finally, when she can drive and go out and crash automobiles all by herself, you will have time to come back and tell us funny stories! (which were scarey stories when they happened but get funnier with age)

Seriously, never forget what you did to be together. This is a big challenge, there is a lot to do. There is alot of emotional stuff she will go through, even if she speaks English fairly well it is not easy for her. The first few months are difficult, amybe the first year, and you are still dealing with USCIS throughout all of it. But it is also a rewardig time and you are finally together and you can do this together. In time it is great, really.
