When the new look went into place, one of the things that you would have noticed in your profile was a reputation bar. When one of your posts was member-modded negatively, your repuation went down. When one of your posts was member-modded positively, it went up. That feature, as Ewok posted in this thread, has been removed.

I wanted to know what happened to the post counter under ur profile pics.. several of us like that feature!

It is still there on your actual profile page on the left hand side slightly below your name and photo:

Or were you referring to something different?

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Ewok, if we are going to keep the per-post moderating system, I'd like to suggest that you enable per-post moderation on moderators and organizers. If moderators are going to "take off their moderator hats" to participate in normal conversations, then I think it's only fair that their posts are subject to the same community moderation as everyone else's.

I personally would rather we just ditch the per-post moderating system, but if we're going to keep it then let's do it for everyone.

I believe Per post moderation is enabled for organizers, Mox.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

The OT is a time killer thing. Kind of slacked off lately, since same people take the same sides on issues and no one changes anyone's mind. Tempted to go look at the health care "reform" postings, but will try to keep my distance.

I've only clicked the negative response thingy a couple of times, when I thought someone was being a dickwad. But even then, I felt so--so dirty.

Overall, I don't think it's a bad idea, and I agree with the decision to disassociate the individual post rankings from user rankings. I've noticed that a couple of VJ members are being followed around and "negatived" on every post no matter what it says. It's asinine, but I admit I find it funny in a kind of juvenile way. I think my sense of humor is degenerating the older I get.
