Don't do it!!! You'll get immediate gratification when you can see things start and then you spend the next month and 8 days glaring at the lack of updates. Not that I am checking them at all...

If you paid by check, you can look at the electronic image of the back of the check on your bank's website (generally) to get the case number. I know it's tempting to check RIGHT NOW!, speaking as someone who checked multiple times a day, every day, for the four months it took to get our NOA2, but you don't lose or gain anything by waiting for the hard copy, either. Good luck and here's hoping for a speedy approval!

I-129F

6 Nov 2009: NOA1

2 March 2010: NOA2 (116 days)

14 April 2010: Interview (159 days) Approved!!

30 April 2010: Married!

AoS

18 May 2010: NOA1 for AoS, EAD and AP

8 June 2010: Case transferred to CSC

10 June 2010: Biometrics completed

31 July 2010: EAD and AP received!

9 Sept. 2010: RFE email for AoS

(RFE for medical. We replied with letter stating that it's not required since done overseas within one year)

18 January 2010: Interview - passed! Card production ordered!

If you paid the fee with a personal check, when USCIS cashes your check they print your case number on the back, with the Vermont center it start with EAC...

So if you can get this number then you can check your case status online before receiving your NOA1.

If you have an internet access to your bank accounts you can probably see a scan of the back of your check once it has been cashed.

It will drive you bonkers!!! You will wake at 3am and wonder if you've been updated. You will rush home from work just to see if you been updated. You will stare forverer at that evil "dashboard" and be mesmerized by that little blue dot that NEVER moves!! Hoping that magically it will move for you. Please litte dot just move for me, please, and please don't move to the RFE circle.......Day after day! Night after Night!!! Ohhhh the madness!!! Don't do it!! :bonk:

Oh I'm sorry...was that out loud? Just look on back your check and get you WAC number.
