I miss my wife. But my life is not on hold while she's not here. I know someday she will be here. I had expected it to be only within 6 months. But as these NOA2 are taking longer and longer, I have re-adjusted my expectation. I'm sure she’ll is where within a year. Meanwhile, I'm doing nearly everything I used to do before being married. I hope to take on a weekend jobs, which are much harder to find in these tough economies than anticipated, to save up some money for a trip. The crux of the matter is finding the window to take off from work. The sooner I can do that, the sooner I can go on a vacation. It'd be nice to get away from hectic life. Although life isn't as hectic as I'm making it out to be. You know what, it's actually all right. I can't complain too much.

Though I'm being pessimistic, I hope I will be pleasantly surprised when my NOA2 gets here in 1 more month. Is it possible to be pessimistic while being optimistic? Optimistic while being pessimistic? Why is the sky blue? Is the theories of superposition is right? Am I here now or am I more likely to be here now?

Yes it is possible to be optimistic while pessimistic. Life is easier to not have on hold when you don't have a child. If I was childless I'd be working a lot more and doing other things. Life is never truly on hold anyway. I just refuse to acknowledge that time has passed since I last saw him. :).

On the AOS front, I am possibly closer to getting that solved. As well as the papers front. Hopefully I will know more today about the AOS.

Another round of thunderstorms (thunder bolts) and lightning (very very frightening) here today.

Hey everyone! Just a quick question - when an I-130 stand alone is sent to the Chicago lockbox location, how long AFTER the NOA 1 is generated does it take to get to the CSC? Or is the NOA 1 sent after it gets forwarded to the CSC?

thats nice hearing, teya... AOS is perhaps the toughest part of this whole marathon exercise. I went and applied today for my PCC all over again. the last time i applied, i had not mentioned my entire duration of stay. didnt know that wud be necessary. i need to go atleast twice again for that..hopefully it works out.

Evening slowly meeting night here.. was watching France struggling against SA in the world cup.. all set for a big upset there.

Good luck JinyAndJony. At least you aren't sitting on a raft in the middle of nowhere. You are still on the shore looking to drift off and prepared. I left the shore without the required 2 paddles (I have one paddle and am spinning in circles) and life vest while it was a big storm out. :P.

Marchers, need some help here... need some encouragement. From what was an optimistic 2months going through USCIS has become almost 4months already... I have not seen my wife and 2 kids since 3rd week of January. Imagine our situation, we were all living together here in the States, previous to January. I was going thru citizenship which I actually got in early Feb. But my wife had to go home 'cause her father passed away. If that didn't happen then we would have adjusted here where most USCIS local offices are more humane. Since she wen't home, she can't come back because her visa has already expired.

I know my NOA2 is almost or should i say "nearing adjudication" but when... it's like approvals have been a ratio of every 15 days equals 1 Filing day. So now that we're seeing March 2 NOA2's.. I'm still like a week a way... when multiplied by 15 days, then it could still be 1 month 'til I hear from USCIS. The more depressing part is that we don't even know if it's an approval or an RFE.

I pray that all of us get that approval though. It's just getting tougher by the day. Sometimes I wish I had not been so glued to the timelines... Sigh...

triaxxx, I'm sorry to hear that. So was your family here on a tourist visa? Hopefully USCIS will pick up soon and make everyone's life easier and happier. Do you have all of your paperwork for NVC? That will make the NVC part go by fast. There is little comfort while waiting for the NOA2. Hopefully your family is all safe and healthy (which counts for something). This whole process is just a heartbreak from beginning to end. May USCIS end everyone's sorrows quickly.
