our NOA1 is march 10..and still waiting for that 'touches' :) we had not kept any covering letter with the i130 package..wonder if such things slow things down. anyway, yet to make other things ready..like the PCC. Planning to apply for it today. Its valid for 6 months only. so, hope within 6 months will have interview at consulate.

and teyavalentina..happy anniversary :)

I heard that passport offices in india dont usually give out PCC without a checklist or an approval letter. If you get it, that would be great. please let me know if its ok with you, where you are from and the steps u took to get the pCC. thanks.

Good luck! Keep us updated!

Happy Anniversary buddy. Hope you have some good news from your hubby tonight. :)

John, if i am right..i need two PCCs. One from passport office - the office from where they originally issued passport. And another PCC - the one from the police station covering ur current area of residence. Am going to try for the second one. And I am in Bangalore.. I will tell you how it goes..

It depends JinyAndJony. If the passport is issued less than 6 months old, then u dont need both of them. Just need one from the passport office. I guess getting both wouldn't be a bad idea though. Thanks and good luck

Well, I'm hoping that's NOT the case, because I filed my I-130 solo mid-March, but it seems like in the few Marchers that filed both I-129F and I-130 and have received their NOA2, they each got touches and then approvals on the I-129F with the I-130 approval following soon after.

I'm picturing this whole super efficient, not at all ridiculous USCIS process to go something like this...

Two happy people that just happen to be on opposite sides of the world get married (or engaged) and send in their VISA package to the USCIS, package arrives at USCIS location where it is sent down a gigantic mail shoot into a basement overflowing with paperwork from hopeful couples across the globe, mailroom trolls scurry about and separate the cases by petition type (ie. I-130's to pile A, I-129F's to pile B, both I-130 and I-129F to pile C [and if you originally mailed in just the I-130 and then later send in the I-129F, your file is later taken from pile A and sent to pile C]...you get the point), USCIS caseworker sits at the end of something similar to a drive-up bank tube shoot deposit slip sending thingy (hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about) and puts the cases on the bottom of their allotted pile as they come in. But this is where things start to change...The workers that receive the I-129F cases are like the elves in Santa's workshop...happy and cheerful and cranking out toys (err...NOA2s) just as fast as their little elf bodies will allow. The I-130 caseworkers USED to be Santa's Little Helpers too, but they were all apparently laid off at the beginning of March (inadvertently screwing all March filers in the process), and were replaced with workers who are more like Willy Wonka's Oompa Loompas...weird and kinda angry and too busy singing stupid songs and wheeling off little kids that have turned into giant blueberries to actually approve any cases! UGH!

Come on March NOA2s!!!! :)

Cute....

I hope we see some type of action this week. Only 1 approval so far for the entire week?

I really hope and pray we get approved soon... I just get disappointed everytime I read my emails and check my status online and nothings changed... no touches... no approvals... what's keeping those approvals from coming? why in the past months, a lot of applications are approved daily? Everything from hereon is uncertain and that's what is killing me! I just want to know when I will be home with my hubby... =(

You know that page that shows CSC is processing I130 from March X date, it keeps moving back and forth. One time I saw it said March 14th. Then it went back to March 10th. Now it's back to March 8th. I don't know ####### is goign on. Looks like VSC is far ahead with April 9th's date.

Talking about this page http://www.visajourney.com/timeline, the stuff on the very right.

I only sent my I-129F because personally I thought it would help to speed up approval. However, if you see how long it took Teya to get approved, and provided I get approved in the next few days, I am not so sure the filing of the I-129F helped me at all.

BTW, I am upset I did not file my I-129F as soon as I had my I-130 receipt number. Could it have helped? I am not sure. But it was only going to cost me some paper, an envelope and postage.

I'm with you on that. I think there was some bogus information being passed around by the administrators of this website. I got into a bit of a debate with them in another forum.. They still insist that not filing the I-129 forms was the right thing to do.. But their info was based on past trends but they made many assumptions after the rule changed in February 10. I really truly regret not filing the I-129f in march.. Now I am in a dilemma wondering if the I-129 will slow it down or not. I don't why i just didn't follow the procedures set by USCIS instead of listening to their assumptions. :crying: I told them that it seemed like they used the March Filers as Test Dummies for the new rule. I would recommend that all new filers follow the entire K3 process.

Hello March2010, instead of just sit and wait I'm thinking of submitting I129F this few days. Do I need to fill out G325A and send USCIS passport photo again?

Yes, you would if you choose to file an I-129F.

The way I look at it, that it won't hurt to file the I-129F.

That being said, I have not gotten any NOA2's yet.

Also, there was another user that filed ONLY I-130 one day before me, yet they got approved last week or so.

So, I do not see a benefit of filing the I-129F late. (I filed it first week of June)

If I had filed my I-129F much earlier, say in March, then we would have had a better idea if that makes a difference.
