March 2010 CR1 filers

Good luck to everyone. If all of the people who filed in March would post their NOA1's and respective time lines, I think we might have a better idea of when we "should" get NOA2's. As for me, my NOA1 date is March 1st, and as of today, my time line says May 14th to June 17th. What about everyone else?

NOA 1 is dated April 2nd and my timeline says June 19th - July 23rd.

My NOA1 was dated Mar. 9 and now, still nothing. For a while there I thought the process was becoming faster... hoping that people are filing less k3's so USCIS has less paperwork nowadays... have a friend who filed during the last week of Jan and got approved last week of March.... roughly 60 days total.

So if that timeline holds, hopefully we can expect ours in May. then again, having monitored Igor's list on a daily basis, it has recently slowed down. Hopefully some VJ members have just forgotten to update their timelines...

I wonder if the start of H1b visa filing (I think April 1) has something to do with the slowing down of things....

hah, enough said.. been thinking too much here..

Hello Everyone. have a quick question and wanted to know what I should do.

I purchased a house last year in september before I submitted my I130/G325A form but I dont really live there currently. I still live at my old resident and have given my old resident address in both the forms. I filled out my tax returns with the address of the new house and the question I have is:

1) Should i change the address online to the new address since i will be filling out I864 which requires to send the tax returns for the last three years. 2009 tax return has the address for the new house

or

2) Leave my old address as is since I am still living at the old place. I haven't changed any of documentation (license, passport, mailing address for credit card bills, job paycheck etc). And in I864, where it says residence address put new address and mailing address put old address?

Please advise.

Hey everyone. I dont know if you have had a chance to look at the following page written by someone on this forum. It's a good way to get ahead and get all the documents before a NVC case number has been assigned to your application. Hope this helps.

Did anyone else notice that the VJ timeline to get NOA1 changed again and now it shows that the timeline moved in a little (few days)?

Just read James' Shortcuts from the last few posts and it is so helpful, BUT it did leave me with one question...it says that a certified copy of a birth certificate is only valid from the issuing authority, and not just from a regular notary. Has anyone heard this before? Does this only apply for the NVC? We sent in copies from a notary for our I-130.

Yup - absolutely - anything from a 'regular notary' is not a 'certified copy'.

as to 'hearing it before' - well, it's in the NVC website, about DS-230 document requirements.

We sent our I-130 in late Feb and got our NOA1 early March!! So don't have to have for long! But the USCIS website says we will get our biometric appointment within 30 days and I haven't heard anything

Biometric Appointment prior to NOA-2 ? Ouch - usually, that's for the petitioner at an ASC office in the USA.

I'm guessing though, that since you married in USA - USCIS is confused about where you are. You might want to have the USC spouse check in with USCIS, verify that yer a CR-1 with an I-130 petition, to be interviewed in Singapore.

ok so i guess no one know what i should do about the change of address. So i went ahead and just changed my mailing address to the new house so it matches the tax return address. Now the question i have is, would they mind if my pay stub and W2 forms has my old address since i still haven't changed anything.

Hello everyone. Just found out that someone on other topic who received his NOA1 on March 4th, 2010 received their NOA2 on April 22nd. Does that mean we are moving closer to getting ours soon as well?

Hoping people with early march to mid march NOA1s get their NOA2 soon.

I130 Submitted - March 23rd,2010

I130 Received at Chicago Lockbox - March 25th, 2010

Money Order cashed - April 5th, 2010

NOA1 Received (hardcopy) - April 6th, 2010

Change of address: April 21st, 2010

Touched: April 22nd, 2010 (most likely because of the change in address)

Anyone else get touched yesterday?
