I was going to send the email on my wife's behalf. Is it really true that they will check the IP address to make sure it came from the country where my wife is rather than where I am? Do that go into that much detail? Lost of people said you can send it on your wife's behalf as long as you include everything in the correct format.

just a question on the ds-3032...... Why only sign it but not date it? does it make a difference?

Your wife will not date it but you will when you send it in. They may have said this because some people complete this months in advance and then when they finally sent it in its 4-6 month old. There is a time window perhaps when the document can be sent in after signing but I am only guessing. Regardless you can search earlier Forums on this subject and do as you see fit. I have decided to follow what ever directions are available on this site because I have never done this before and want to make a few errors as possible. There have been many who have followed these guidelines and made it through without legal assistance. I am chosing to follow their path.

Totosan...it says you are supposed to wait for the generated e-mail from NVC some people have sent out their e-mail before receiving the NVC e-mail to save some time. I did it just to be doing something. :).

Indigo...some people say that they will check to see whee exactly it came from. Why they care, idk. As long as it gets filled out and sent to them...since we are all married after all, it's not like we are hacking or doing something illegal by using our spouse's e-mail.

I just looked that up (IP# off of email thing) and I did not know it was possible, but it seems that it is:

It seems that it maybe possible.

I found a solution, we both use gmail.

In gmail, you can create an email but not sent it. You can save it under DRAFT.

Then have your wife open that draft and click SEND from her home country. That should resolve the IP# situation.

Of course, this assumes both parties have gmail and both parties have access to internet.

Cleaver Idea ... I dont know why they would both need to have GMail or any other mail. As long as the persons account is theirs and it is saved to their Draft box they hit the send button from their home or nearby Cafe...

Hey guys here is my question about the DS 3032 form. There is a barcode that goes on the top of the form that you get from NVC.

To Teya, Did you get that barcode when NVC assigned you your Case #?

Anthony, I didn't receive anything else from NVC beside my case number. The barcode sheet for DS3032 would be for one you are mailing in. I still am waiting (all of today :P) for the DS3032/AOS Fee Bill from NVC. I think I should see it by next week. I just jumped the gun and sent the e-mail DS3032 a little early. Oh well. I don't know why I'm in a rush...I have some serious waiting to do!

I will def let everyone know if they send out a sniper for sending the e-mail from US soil. :).

I have read that it doesnt matter what email address you send it from. it would be good to know if they come after someone based on ip address.

I am so worried and depressed that I still did not get any email or confirmation that they have processed my case.

I hope that all the Californians are not on vacation. I mean they can take a vacation but one person at a time.

At this time I feel that had it been in the East coast, I would have personally visisted thier office and tried to ask them if they needed any help. I can definately help.

Hopefully this helps... so that I may have some contribution to our thread. I think the March filers are probably one of the most active on VJ right now... Anyway..

I posted about filling in the 3032 and 230 forms ahead of time before and here's a summary of what I learned.

1. No need to print out barcodes according to "pushbrk" (who appears to know a lot based on my observation).

2. It's probably better to let the beneficiary sign both forms and leave the date blank until the time the petitioner (who most likely is in the US) is gonna send it in.
