Man do I ever love my husband! Which is how it is supposed to be :). He just suggested some one else (besides the last person I want to ask). Hopefully that one will work. I don't know why I just became happy. There is a grand possibility that that won't work either :S. *Sigh. I wish I could show him that I am really appreciative of his love for us (besides working on the papers :P).

Divina- Did you do a civil ceremony in Honduras or a religious ceremony? If you did a civil ceremony there, you couldn't legal marry again, because if you get married anywhere in the world legally, it is valid in the U.S. This will cause you problems later on down the road if the USCIS doesn't catch it now. I'm not trying to freak you out or anything. I only want to help you. As far as people who filed after you getting their NOA2, don't worry about it. USCIS doesn't always go in order. 2 people were approved ahead of me and had NOA1 dates later than mine. You should be hearing something from them soon.

Tom- Yeah...I hear ya. But, I have tried to explain the process and it just goes over his head. I suppose if he took the time to get online and look at the steps, he would maybe understand some more. The process is hard to explain to anyone. People ask me what I'm doing next and when I get to about the 3rd step, they tune out. For me, it almost works better if he doesn't know all of the specifics of the process and just goes along with what I tell him. Someone who just brought their husband (who is from my husband's neighborhood in Peru) tried explaining the process to my husband in March...apparently to no avail. I'm not mad at him for not understanding. If some one would've told me all of the steps and intricacies of this whole process (before I had started), i probably would've told them there was no way I would ever be able to do all of that! Luckily I have VJ and you guys to help me out!

We actually had 2 civil ceremonies. We explained this to the lawyer and he said we had no legal requirement to do so but we would have to go with the US date because that would be on our papers. USCIS won't catch it now because we made no reference to our marriage in Honduras. Our marriage certificate in Honduras was delayed because the registrar's office had misplaced our file so no file=no legal marriage. We were under the impression that it was not registered and it wasn't in February. The certificate finally came in march. The lawyer said that we should only show our Honduran MC if they asked but to maintain out US dates. He also said that you can get married in both countries...a lot of people do. But it's definitely not a requirement. So it's not illegal. It gets iffy if you want a divorce...say you want a divorce in HOnduras from a marriage performed in the US. But in some countries it's possible. Remember that case about that guy from NJ who married the Brazilian woman and then she remarried in Brazil? Bruna and David I think.

Huh, ok. All I had ever read on here was that if you marry somewhere else and try and marry here, it doesn't count because you are already legally married somewhere else. Hopefully, the information is accurate and mine is not. It looks like you should be all set to go then. Your wait should be short for the NOA2.

Teya - i was reading through some old posts and in one of them i said that you will get your NOA2 end of May. Looks like i was pretty darn close. Here is the way I had the NOA2 dates between the 5 of the original march filers:

My guess would be the following order:

1. TeyaValentina

2. TheJesal

3. TomD

4. Junefirst

5. Myself (hopefully)

I doubt i will get the interview on the same day as Thejesal. Very unlikely. But never know

Ah, the silly posts we made back in the day :P. Well, ok...sooo...I know that based of NOA1's:

FLPilot should be coming up as well as

divina24, March2010, and Totosan.

I think Jess&Daniel aren't far behind either.

I feel like I'm forgetting some people. Sorry, I just don't have everyone's time lines memorized.

I know that the March filers list of large but hardly anyone has joined us in our lovely group. I had started the March topic on March 4th but then JuneFirst started this topic in this spot and no one saw my post. Since then, JuneFirst has disappeared and I haven't been quiet. :P. Hopefully some of the other Marchers will join us. If not, maybe we will see them around the NVC group soon. if it makes you all feel any better, I am waiting just like you are (just for a different thing). I will most likely be behind everyone else once they get to the NVC spot anyway. I'm glad that I have a week until they assign a case number. I will need it.

I think I should have a case number by June 11th so then I will send off the DS3032 e-mail format found on here, to my husband and then have him e-mail it. I could do it but if they check the IP address, they will know it isn't from Peru :P. I will however, be hacking :D into his e-mail to see what their response is and check some other things for evidence of our relationship.

I will make sure and post the e-mail that "my husband" sends out. I have it all ready to go, I just need the rest of the case number.

-NVC sent checklist letter (for the 2 AOS RFE's): 11/13/10

-NVC operator says the IV package has been entered: 11/18/10

-E-mailed SUE to see if that would do anything (3 diff times...): 11/29/30/10

-Sent AOS RFE's: 12/1/10

-AOS RFE's received: 12/2/10

-Checked payment portal for fun (SIF!!!!): 12/3/10

-AVR still say AOS missing info: 12/3/10

-NVC operator says case was shipped to USE in Lima: 12/3/10

-Received interview date (12/13/10): JANUARY 6th, 2011!!

-Medical: 12/21/10- Passed :)

-Interivew: 1/6/11- PASSED :D

-Visa received- 1/13/11

-POE FLL- 1/23/11 YES! BUTTTTTTT....still not reunited :'( (Reunited on the 24th)
