Good monring my peeps! I wanted to know if I should worry that my case hasn't been touched since April? Do cases normally get touched right before you get the NOA2? I hope so!

Nope cases dont have to be touched to get approval. I have heard that there are cases that get no touches and just get approved. So dont worry about it. Your turn will come divina.

John- Like I had said before, my husband doesn't understand the process at all so when I told him it was approved, he asked if he needs to wait for something now :P. I told him he needs to get me those documents I told him about. See.. we are already behind. Luckily NVC gives you a week before they assign a case number. :).

If they think that they need additional information from you, USCIS will send you a notice with the list of what is needed. Once you submit that then you just wait and usually within a month they might make a decision.

Well because my husband and I got married in Jan 2010 in Honduras. He left and we waited and waited for our marriage certificate to come through so we could file. In Feb we decided that it was taking too long so I flew to the US and we got married on Feb 18. On that same date we went to the lawyer's office to file and signed all the papers. He sent the paperwork on Feb 22nd. I left on the 21st but I think it may look a little odd that I entered the country on Feb 13th, got married on the 18th and filed on the 22nd. They have no idea we were actually married on Jan 2 (meaning we could've filed in jan!) but that our case was lost for some time and we couldn't get out marriage certificate... I guess I'm overthinkingwacko.gif ... I'm getting anxious because some people who got their NOA1 after we did have gotten their NOA2 already and we are still waitingwhistling.gif

Your Husband and my Wife. I get frustrated with her not getting involved in the process. I dont expect her to stand tall but I do expect her to stand. I for the life of me dont understand how anyone can not take ownership of their future. :bonk: On several occations I almost said forget this. I know I will have some training to do... However training is useless without a willing student.

Divina- Did you do a civil ceremony in Honduras or a religious ceremony? If you did a civil ceremony there, you couldn't legal marry again, because if you get married anywhere in the world legally, it is valid in the U.S. This will cause you problems later on down the road if the USCIS doesn't catch it now. I'm not trying to freak you out or anything. I only want to help you. As far as people who filed after you getting their NOA2, don't worry about it. USCIS doesn't always go in order. 2 people were approved ahead of me and had NOA1 dates later than mine. You should be hearing something from them soon.

Tom- Yeah...I hear ya. But, I have tried to explain the process and it just goes over his head. I suppose if he took the time to get online and look at the steps, he would maybe understand some more. The process is hard to explain to anyone. People ask me what I'm doing next and when I get to about the 3rd step, they tune out. For me, it almost works better if he doesn't know all of the specifics of the process and just goes along with what I tell him. Someone who just brought their husband (who is from my husband's neighborhood in Peru) tried explaining the process to my husband in March...apparently to no avail. I'm not mad at him for not understanding. If some one would've told me all of the steps and intricacies of this whole process (before I had started), i probably would've told them there was no way I would ever be able to do all of that! Luckily I have VJ and you guys to help me out!

Looks like no approvals yesterday. Uscis is playing with everyones mind. They got everyones hope up by approving a few and then stop again. Let's hope the trend stops

I look at it this way, all the times that I was in Peru, I let him be in charge and tell me what was ok and not ok to do (within reason). This irked me some times but since he is the native there, I let him have his say. I told him, however, that when he is here, he will be playing by my rules! We can both look at this as a transition of power :P. He (of course) will always have a say but since I'm supposed to know more about how things work here, he gets to take the back seat for a while.

Great!!!! I just called my AOSer to see if they got my 30 page packet and not yet. The 1st thing she told me was, "Just in case, please find some one else because it isn't 100%. If there is some one else closer to you, please ask them instead. But I will let you know when I get the packet." Biscuits!!!!! This was the 2nd worry of mine in this long process. The other 2 haven't come along yet. *Sigh.

-Interivew: 1/6/11- PASSED :D

-Visa received- 1/13/11

-POE FLL- 1/23/11 YES! BUTTTTTTT....still not reunited :'( (Reunited on the 24th)

10/11/2010: IIN received

10/11/2010: AOS review fee ($88) online payment - IN PROCESS

10/14/2010: AOS status 'PAID'

10/16/2010: DS-230 IV fee ($404) online payment - IN PROCESS

10/19/2010: DS-230 IV status 'PAID'

10/20/2010: AOS & DS-230 IV package sent

10/22/2010: AOS & DS-230 IV package delivered. Signed by: J Desmond.

11/10/2010: SIF!!!

11/14/2010: received checklist for missing passport office PCC.

11/10/2010: NVC Completion

12/09/2010: NVC Forwards Case to Consulate
