Teya - I am just looking at the worst case right now. I dont know how USCIS looks at these changes. If they dont look at your case without a proper NOA1, then we are definitely in deep trouble.

Anyway, dont stress. Call them tomorrow and you can ask them the question. Let me know what the supervisor tells you.

Don't worry my fellow March filers...I am with you still! Even tho I've technically moved onto the NVC part, you guys are like my lil family so I'll be back here all the time LOL.

Plus, I feel a lil lost without y'all!

Good one Teya. I know I wont be joining the June one. But hopefully July NVC. Remember i have a NOA1 date of April 2nd. So technically i am not a March filer.

LOL!!! Oh well. I am in no hurry anyway. I am going back to my country end of November to see my wife and if she gets the Visa I want to bring her back with me. Or else I will be waiting just like others.

I read that you are having an issue since ur wife middle name is not printed on NOA 1.

But it need not be printed and you dont have to worry since in ur culture it will be ur name as her middle name.

So u are good to go buddy. Your name is in the petitioner area.

I dont think u need to worry about it.

Kapad - i agree with you on that. But the thing is my wife hasn't changed her middle name yet and USCIS might hit me with a RFE if the name on the application doesn't match it exactly. Didnt want to take that risk so just called in and asked them to change it. Now i just wait...oh wait a sec...i have been doing that for almost 2 months. LOL!! I am not worried at all. Its destiny whatever happens, happens for the good.

Hopefully, the touch means your paperwork is being stuffed into a large envelope and being shipped to NVC. Of course, I am guessing. :-)

What a romantic notion. Las Vegas....reminds me of someone else...oh wait...MAY Interviewers are going to Vegas. is there some VJ conference I just am out of the loop about? If all of us stick together to the end then we well be practically enmeshed in each other's lives. Hopefully we get to travel as a group and not be spread out all over the place. None of us really know each other well or what we look like. Unless you wore a name tag that said, "JohnDoe 12" I wouldn't know who you were. Maybe some background info of our "petite famille" would be nice. You don't have to get personal. I'll start (and might be the only one). So...obviously you all know I am married to a Peruvian (and if you have looked at my profile you will know that we have a daughter named TeyaValentina...hence the screen name). I am a USC by birth in the US. No fancy heritage here. I live in Omaha, NE. I am orginally from Oregon. Anything else, you can just ask (or not, as the case may be).

Just a suggestion why dont you ask you wife to get a new passport with you name as the middle name and so things will be all fine? Any way dont change anything now I guess.

Let me ask you this are you in NY or NJ?

Also I dont understand where do people see that their file gets touched? I dont know why mine is not touched or am I looking at a wrong place? Please give me the link for that.

Kapad- To see the "touches" you have to go to the USCIS website and sign into your account. When you look at "my portfolio" it has your case # then it says "last date updated". The "last date updated" is what VJers call a "touch". If the date has changed from when your NOA1 date is, then you have been "touched". Some people get a lot of "touches" and some people never get a touch between NOA1 and NOA2. I hope that was helpful.
